Books to Prisoners is a Seattle-based non-profit organization that sends donated books free of charge to incarcerated individuals around the country. It relies on volunteers to find requested books, wrap and mail parcels, and assist with fundraising. The organization believes that access to books can help offset the negative effects of incarceration, foster a love of reading, and encourage self-improvement. Volunteers are needed to work 1-2 days per week and the organization is located at The Evergreen State College.

2. WHAT YOU
CAN DO
As a volunteer-run, non-profit organi-
zation, we can always use more volun-
teers. Volunteers work one to two
days per week.
As a volunteer, you would help:
 Find books in our collection that
correspond to each request
 Wrap and mail the parcels
Volunteers can also help with fund-
raising activities such as selling books
at Evergreen or starting their own
fundraising project.

believes that books are tools for learn-
ing and opening minds to new ideas
and possibilities.
