3. Main Idea
• Love to Read is a company that sells
bookmarks for special occasions and also
personalized bookmarks. We also make
business cards for companies. We take
orders from people via email and we can
also include a message and photos of a
particular person. If you are buying a book
as a present for someone, it is an ideal add
on.
4. Approach
• Most of the other bookmarks we find in the market tear very easily
and have no special message or photo. They are just ordinary
bookmarks.
• We are laminating them so that they can last longer and avoid
tearing.
• People can send us an email to tell us by when they want it and even
what color from the options given.
• Usually, the business cards we see are one color, plain and very
boring.
• We can make beautiful business cards for any kind of business.
They will be so unique that no one will be able to resist taking one!
6. Target audience
• Firstly we will target students from our school and
maybe also teachers.
• For the business card we can target any relatives or
friends who might own a business.
• Later on we might also sell our bookmarks and put
our business cards (because we also made one for
our business, of course!) in stationaries and
bookshops.
8. Location
• We will start making the
bookmarks and business cards at
home as we don’t have to pay
any rent and we have all the
supplies and space that we need.
It will make us feel more
confortable and we will have a
room to ourselves so that we will
not be disturbed. We will have a
proper working environment.
9. How will we approach customers?
• We can send a poster/PowerPoint to everyone in
our school explaining why these bookmarks are
special and how they can give us their order.
• We can take some photos (with our phones) of the
bookmarks which we have done already and show
them to our friends and people who would want to
buy one.
• We will send an email and photo to our relatives
who own a business so that they might get
interested in getting a business card.

• Normal Bookmarks – 50c each
• Personalized Bookmarks – 70c each
• Business Cards – €5.50 for a pack of 40
cards
12. Cost Analysis
• Start-up-costs : Around €15 to buy 26 lamination sheets, 26
colored cardboard sheets (13 colors – 2 of each), and for the
printing of 50 sample bookmarks and business cards.
• Fixed Costs : We will not have any fixed costs since we won’t
have to pay rent because we are working at home.
• Variable Costs : 20c (depending on whether the customer
wants it personalized or not). Bookmarks and business cards
will be sold at a profit of 66%.
