As an educational leader, faculty, advertising and marketing communications
professional, Ms. Blake offers transformative leadership advice to her clients and
students to create successful learning and career outcomes.
She founded Bonnie Blake & Company to bring creative communications and
measurable customer relationship management (CRM) solutions to clients across various
media. Her practice helps leaders in higher education, non-profit and commercial
companies grow and succeed in this changing media and communications landscape.
She encourages pro-active stakeholder participation, aligning best in class knowledge,
insights with emerging technologies and design thinking to changing needs of audiences
and markets.
Ms. Blake’s contributions to New York University over 25 years included Academic
Program Director, Advisor and Faculty of the Master’s Program in Graphic
Communications Management and Technology; and as Coordinating Chair for the
graduate degree programs in Publishing, Digital Imaging and Design and continuing
education programs in Design and Digital Arts. She has also served as a special advisor
to students in Independent Study and Culminating Experience at NYU Gallatin.
Ms. Blake’s leadership philosophy is to provide transformative opportunities for learners
to launch, develop and grow in their careers. She is focused on creating and developing
innovative professional programs for diverse types of learners and for various levels of
expertise. She has extensive experience working with industry leaders and advisory
boards to build strong communities. These relationships have resulted in strong learning
outcomes, internships, mentorships and jobs. She creates engaging and collaborative and
innovative events in higher education and business.
Ms. Blake serves on the New York Women in Communications Foundation board as co-
vice president of mentoring. She is also an advisor and mentor for students and alumni
from the NYU, Boston College and the Graphic Communications Scholarship
Foundation. She was recently highlighted in the Spring 2015 University of New England
press for her appreciation of the marketing, admissions and program teams’ dedication to
online learning for doctoral students. She was honored with the “Best in
Communications” award at the Fall 2014 Franklin Luminaire event, for her contributions
to education in the media and communications industry. The Luminaire Award was

highlighted in the global magazine article by Dalim Software in Spring 2015. She
received the 2013 Naomi Berber Memorial Award honoring outstanding women for her
role as an educator. She has served on the Board of the Advertising Production Club of
New York. She was honored with the NYU PRISM Alumni Achievement Award for
Graphic Excellence in 1993.
Ms. Blake is a passionate adult learner. She is currently a doctoral candidate in
Educational Leadership at The University of New England. She earned her M.A. in 1987
from New York University. She graduated cum laude from Boston College in 1976 with
a B.A. in History and a minor in Education. Bonnie lives in Greenwich Village with her
family plus a lab named “Piper.”
