- we are learning today out of 1st Nephi ch 8-10 which covers Lehi's Dream. I wanted to re-create the dream in life-size in the gym with floating buildings,.mists of darkness a tree and running river BUT Steve had some objection to it; INSTEAD I've asked 3 famous artist to re-create Lehi's dream in Masterpiece form
- in these chapters we learn
- remember at the beginning of the year had 8 things we should do with the BOM besides READING it , each week I will discuss one of those things today is "LAY HOLD UPON" let's read Helaman 3:29 NEPHI talking – different from the original Nephi but he was named after him; 10,000 converts and Moroni is telling us WHY this happened ?listen as we read he tells us 4 things that will happen if we LAY HOLD UPON the "words of God"

- I REALIZED for the first time ever that revealations come from questions.prayers. I know Lehi prayed for his family as all parents do. Perhaps this dream came as a response to his prayers about his family. Most likely he had heard about the attempt to leave Nephi in the desert tied up. Wondering about Laman and Lemuel.
- Let's take a closer look at the 4 groups of people in Lehi's dream ; how they alike, different divided into 4 sections today each group take a minute and read through your group discuss each one
- I think a good question to ask ourselves is where are we in this representation? One thing I learned this reading that i never caught before Satan has three representation in the dream building, river,mists of darkness BUT Heavenly FAther gives us something to counteract each of these CHALKBOARD
- Many titles could be given to Nephi but this is one of my favorites; Ist Nephi 1:1 he says that hd had a great Knowledge of the goodness of God Unlike Laman and Lemuel it is said that the knew no the dealings of that God who created them. THIS IS WHAT THE DIFFERENCE IS Nephi was a SEEKER OF TRUTH—Let's read about it in ch 11:1 listen for the 3 specific things Nephi does to seek out the truth for himself He was caught away in the Spirit which revealed to him 10 pages of some of the most glorious truths know to man I testify he will do this same thing for us today—DEsire, Believe, Ponder will lead
