Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL) is a government of India enterprise established in 1970 in Hyderabad to manufacture guided missiles and defense equipment. It began by producing the French SS11B1 anti-tank guided missile. BDL is led by Chairman and Managing Director V Udaya Bhaskar and has directors overseeing production, finance, and a government director to manage the government relationship. It also has three independent directors on the board.

2. Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL), a Government of India Enterprise under the
Ministry of Defence was established in Hyderabad in the year 1970 to be a
manufacturing base for guided missiles and allied defence equipment. Nurtured
by a pool of talented engineers drawn from DRDO and aerospace industries,
BDL began its journey by producing the 1st Generation Anti -Tank Guided
Missile (ATGM) - the French SS11B1.
Chairman & Managing Director :
Shri V Udaya Bhaskar
Shri V Udaya Bhaskar holds an executive position to control the day to
day affairs of the company. He is the head of management. As a
chairman he is expected to provide leadership to the Board of Directors,
and is responsible for its composition.
He holds M.Tech in Polymer Science & Technology from IIT, Delhi.

3. Director (Production) :
Shri V. Gurudatta Prasad
Shri V. Gurudatta Prasad role is involved with the planning,
coordination and control of manufacturing processes.
He holds an M.Tech in Industrial Engineering & Management from
JNTU, Hyderabad.
Director (Finance) :
Shri S. Piramanayagam
Shri S. Priamanayagam role is overall control and responsibility
for all financial aspects of company strategy and is expected to
analyse figures and implement recommendations based on these
findings, with the most profitable outcomes.
He is is a Science Graduate and an Associate Member of the
Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
