The problem is that finding on-street parking can be totally random, though over 50% of parking spaces are on-street. The solution is for a company called Bmob to provide drivers and municipalities real-time data on on-street parking availability. This benefits all parties by reducing time spent searching for parking. The company has incorporated, received funding, and is piloting a project in Lugano monitoring 200 on-street spots.
