1. The financial results for the quarter and year ended 31st March 2023 were approved by the Board in its
meeting held on 25th May 2023. The total income for the fourth quarter of FY 2022-23 increased by
7.62% and stood at Rs 653.58 crores as compared to the same period last year. While the Profit Before
Tax (PBT) for the quarter ended 31st March 2023 is Rs 84.65 crores, the net profit (PAT) for the quarter
is Rs 58.84 crores. The net income of the Company for the year is Rs 2383.09 crores registering a
growth of 13.22% on the levels achieved in 2021-22. The PBT for the year ended 31st March 2023
increased by 24.19% to Rs 211.30 crores, the PAT increased by 25.29% and stood at Rs 153.86
crores. The Board of Directors has recommended a dividend of 75% for the FY 2022-23 as against 65%
dividend paid for the FY 2021-22. In the month of June 2023, World Environment Day, World Blood
Donors Day and the 9th International Day of Yoga (IDY) was observed across units and establishments
of the Company pan India. We will bring you glimpses in the July 2023 issue of BLOOM.

EDITORIAL
This year, the theme for IDY was 'Yoga for
Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’. In a historic event,
Hon'ble Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi lead the
IDY celebrations at the United Nations (UN)
headquarters in New York on 21st June 2023,
graced by delegates from over 180 nations.
Around 250 million individuals participated in the
event. Speaking on the occasion Prime Minister
said, “The coming together of more than 180
countries on India's call is historic and
unprecedented and what unites us, is Yoga." He
also added that Yoga creates a healthy and
powerful society where the collective energy is
much more. Yoga connects us with that
consciousness which makes us feel the unity of
the living being. Through Yoga, we know the
selfless action, we decide the journey from Karma
to Karmayoga. Our physical strength, our mental
expansion will become the basis of a developed
India.
2. The 2nd Warehouse & Supply Chain Leadership Awards 2023 was organised by M/s Krypton Business
Media Pvt. Ltd., and Balmer Lawrie was declared winner in the following categories:

BL UPDATES
Logistics Services entered into a two-year
contract pertaining to Air Import
Consolidation with Hindustan Aeronautics
Limited. The contract was signed by Mr. MU
Sairam Prasad, Executive Director (IMM) and
Mr. K Jambunathan, Vice President [LS] on
11th May 2023 at Bengaluru.
3. Logistics Services, Bengaluru successfully handled the charter including customs and immigration
clearance at HAL airport for exporting an LUH Helicopter to Malaysia for Hindustan Aeronautics Limited
on 19th May 2023. The Helicopter was loaded into the C17 provided by IAF.
4. Balmer Lawrie was the travel partner for the Indian Junior Women's Hockey Team that clinched the
Women’s Junior Asia Cup 2023 title in Kakamigahara, Japan, with a 2-1 win over the Republic of Korea
in the final on 11th June 2023. This is the first time that India has won the Women's Junior Asia Cup.
India had already secured a spot in the FIH Women's Junior World Cup 2023 in Chile.
Balmer Lawrie handled the entire ticketing and selected land arrangement in Berlin for the 275
members of the Indian contingent - Special Olympics Bharat - participating in the Special Olympics
World Summer Games at Berlin from 12th to 26th June 2023, as well as for the 25 members delegation
from the Ministry / SAI / Special Olympics Bharat who have travelled as honoured guests on invitation
from the organising committee. On the days of their departure that is on 11th & 12th June, Balmer
Lawrie organised a formal function to wish good luck to the players and coaches. Mr. A K Gupta, Head
[Travel] and Head, RHR - NR along with the Sports Ticketing Team wished the athletes all the best at
the JLN Stadium in New Delhi on 11th June 2023.
5. Industrial Packaging, Navi Mumbai (IPNM) played host to Mr. Mahesh Palav, Head (Material & Supply
Chain) from Savita Oil Technologies Ltd. on 27th May 2023. Mr. Palav visited the plant, including the
shop floor, observed the manufacturing operations and interacted with the Executives of IPNM. He
appreciated the plant infrastructure and facility. Savita Oil Technologies Ltd. is an esteemed customer
of Balmer Lawrie.

6. A training program on Safety and Environment was conducted at the Industrial Packaging, Navi Mumbai
plant on 1st June 2023. The topics covered on Safety included what is hazard, risk, accident, incident
and near miss. Different types of hazards and risks like, trip hazard, fire hazard, safety and
precautions needed during welding activity, working at height, working with overhead cranes,
importance of PPEs and its usages were dealt with during the session. The topic covered on
environment was ‘Understanding of Environmental Aspects and Environmental Impacts’. All the
employees at the plant participated in the program.
A training program on firefighting was conducted at the Industrial Packaging, Navi Mumbai plant for all
Security personnel. The training was conducted by Fire & Safety Officer from Boparai’s Martial Security
Agency.

May 2023.
Prem Anand V belongs to Chennai. He completed his Masters in Engineering in Refrigeration
from CIT College, Anna University and started his career in 2005. He has handled different
projects including designing, planning, purchase and execution of various industrial
refrigeration projects. He has handled over hundred projects in cold stores, pre-cooling and
frozen food plants, ice and ice cream plants, dairies, breweries, etc. He has technical expertise
in designing and execution of large industrial processing, cooling application and has rich
knowledge in the field of refrigeration. He also has experience in heading operations in a Cold
Chain and was responsible right from sourcing to dispatch of vegetables from warehouse. He
has also been successfully operating and maintaining the cold chain supple chain of vegetables,
ensuring supply of quality vegetables from farm to customer. He has also handled the portfolio
of operation and maintenance including creating and maintaining operational policies,
procedures as well as strategies to drive productivity, profitability and customer service. He is
married and has a daughter who is in the fifth standard. He likes to travel and listen to music
during his free time.

Babu Harivasu Dandu is from Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh. He did his schooling from Jack & Jill,
Vijayawada and Railway Mixed High School, Nellore. He completed his B.Tech (Mechanical
Engineering) from Nagarjuna University and MBA from JNTU. He has worked in a CPSU which
was a heavy equipment manufacturing company. He has work experience of 13+ years in the

Raghunathan T is popularly known as Raghu. He is from Vellore and is currently residing in
Chennai. He completed his Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from Murugappa Polytechnic
College, Chennai in 2008. Since then, he has been working in Sales. He completed his BE
(Mech) from Karpagam University in 2014. He believes that in his 14 years of experience (13
years in industrial sales and 1 year in supply chain management), his competence and integrity
helped him to grow as a professional. He has worked on and has improved his technical and
managerial skills, decision making ability and has built better customer relationships. He has
also worked on various marketing projects. He is a team player, has leadership quality and
acumen of a salesman. There are six members in his family including him. His family comprises
of his father, mother, younger brother, his spouse and baby girl. When he is not working, he is
active in outdoor activities like swimming and playing cricket. He is also interested in reading

Mr. Ganapuram Manoj Kumar joined Greases & Lubricants - Pune as Senior Manager

Ganapuram Manoj Kumar has 17 years of experience in retail sales and has worked for brands
like Coca Cola, Cadbury, Titan, Tata Motors, Castrol, Mobil and Wuerth. He did his B.Tech in
Mechanical Engineering and MBA from GITAM. He likes watching movies, listening to music and
spending time with his family. He is married to Shalini, and they have two daughters. He joined
Balmer Lawrie as Senior Manager [Retail Sales] at Pune.
Mr. Mukesh Kumar joined Greases & Lubricants - Kolkata as Deputy Manager [Brand
& Analytics] on 2nd May 2023.
Mukesh Kumar Singh is a Data Analyst with 7 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry. He
has earned a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master's degree in Welding
Technology from NIT, Tiruchirappalli in 2016. He joined Balmer Lawrie as Deputy Manager -
Brand & Analytics. His interests include traveling to new places, outdoor games like badminton
and volleyball. He enjoys learning about new technologies in Science & Tech. He has visited
many places around the country and loves to explore different cultures and cuisines. In his free
time, he likes to play the guitar. Music has always been his passion and he finds it to be a great
stress reliever. The most important influence in his life has been his parents, who instilled in
him strong work ethics and the value for education. His two younger sisters have always
believed in his dreams and encouraged him to chase them. They share a great bond with each
other. Overall, he is a driven, curious, and passionate individual who loves to learn and explore.

Mr. Arindam Majumdar joined Greases & Lubricants - Mumbai as Deputy Manager

Arindam Majumdar belongs to Munger District, Jamalpur, Bihar. He completed his schooling
from a catholic convent school, Notre Dame Academy, Jamalpur and graduated from Banaras
Hindu University. Soon after that he completed his Post Graduation from Lucknow University in
MBA (Marketing). He has 7 years of work experience in the automobile industry and has worked
with Exide Industry Ltd., Minda Corporation Ltd. and Total Energies, dealing in product
segments like battery, spares and lubes. Also, his topographic experience comprises states like
West Bengal, Bihar and Assam. His family comprises of his parents, wife and recently they have
been blessed with a baby. He is passionate about traveling and photography.

Praveen Kumar is a native of Araria, Bihar. He acquired his Masters degree in Strategic Sales &
New age Marketing from IIM Kozhikode in 2022 and Bachelors of Engineering in Mechanical
from VMU, Chennai in 2015. He has eight years of experience in the greases and lubricants
industry in different roles and responsibilities. Prior to joining Balmer Lawrie, he was engaged
at Venlub Petro Products Pvt. Ltd., Raj Petro Specialities Pvt. Ltd. and Carborundum Universal
Ltd. His major skills include Sales Operations, Technical Services, Key Account Management
and Team Management. His hobbies are travelling, playing cricket etc. He has done implant
training at Cement Corporation of India, Assam, and JBM Limited, Chennai. Also, he has done
short term training at Indo German Tool Room on Surface and Cylindrical Grinding,
Aurangabad, GIAN training at IIT Madras on System Approach for Precision Grinding Process.
His family consists of his father, who is working as a Vice Principal in a school, his mother a
homemaker, his wife working in an IT Company, one sister working as a teacher, and another
is pursuing her Post graduation. He looks forward to a challenging and exciting career in

Mr. Mohd Uvesh joined Travel & Vacations - New Delhi as Junior Officer [Travel] on
29th May 2023.
Mohd Uvesh was born in Noorpur, Bijnor and was brought up in Delhi. He has experienced a
mix of rural and urban lifestyles. He is very passionate about traveling, social work and loves
to interact with different people from different cultures. He strongly believes in “Small things
lead to perfection, but Perfection is not a small thing”. He has 3.5 years of experience in the
travel and tourism industry. Throughout his career, he has had the opportunity to work with
dynamic teams, tackle exciting challenges, and contribute to the growth and success of the
organisation that he has been a part of. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree and certification in
Travel and Tourism Management from Jamia Milia Islamia University, New Delhi. This
academic foundation, combined with his practical experience, has equipped him with a strong

Mr. Gautam Kumar Parmar joined Greases & Lubricants - Kolkata as Asst. Manager

Gautam Parmar completed his Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering from AIET
College Jaipur in the year 2015. He started his career with Hero Cycles Limited in May 2016.
Subsequently, he worked with Tata Steel BSL Limited and Berger Paints India Limited. Prior to
joining Balmer Lawrie, he was working as Sales Executive in Berger Paints India Limited, Patna
since 2019. He has over 6 years of work experience. Apart from work, his hobbies are planting
trees and gardening. He enjoys hanging out and spending time with his friends. He feels good
connecting with people and exploring new places as it helps him to learn a lot of new things. He
was born in Ara (Bhojpur) Bihar. His mother and father live in Dhanbad along with his elder
brother. His father is working in Tata Steel Limited and his elder brother is a businessman. His
