RSS XMLn kodifikatutako web-iturrien formatuen familia bat da. Maiz eguneratzen
diren leku mota guztietarako espresuki garatuta dago, eta horren bidez, informazioa
parteka daiteke eta beste webgune edo programa batzuetan erabili. Horri web-
hedapena edo web-sindikazio deritzo.
Tags (etiketak) informazioaren ezaugarri edo propietate bat aipatzen duten termino
soilak dira, baina ez dute definitzen edo multzokatzen. Informazioari buruzko
informazioa da. Esate baterako, abesti bat hainbat modutan etiketa daiteke: abesten
duenaren arabera, generoaren arabera, abestiaren egilearen arabera eta abar.
Horrek informazioa bilatzea errazten du.
Tagen lainoak webgune batean erabilitako hitz gakoen edo etiketen adierazpen
bisuala da. Normalean, hitz-zerrenda hori alfabetikoki antolatzen da eta etiketa
erabilienak neurri handiagoko letra-tipo batez adierazten dira.
Folksonomía gauzak lankidetzan sailkatzeko edo katalogatzeko modua da, hau da,
sailkapen masiboa da, pertsona ugarik aldi berean sailkatzen dituzte gauzak.
Folksonomiak egiteko modu ohikoena eta arruntena tag edo etiketen bidez egitea da.
Blogroll blogeko esteken bilduma da, normalean webgunearen alboko menuan egon
ohi da.

Trackback alderantzikatutako esteka da; post jakin batera zer estekak bideratzen
duten jakiteko aukera ematen du; horrela, beste weblog bati jakinarazten dio bere
postetako bat aipatzen ari direla.
Pingback metodo bat da; horren arabera, webgune baten egileek jakinarazpena
eskatzen dute norbaitek euren dokumenturen bat estekatzen duenean. Informazio
horren bidalketa eta harrera gardenak dira erabiltzailearekiko. Horrek ahalbidetzen
die egileei nork estekatu dituen kontrolatzea.
Permalink esteka iraunkorra da. Blogeko sarrera bakoitzari URL iraunkorra
esleitzeko erabiltzen da, gero erreferentziatu ahal izateko.
Blogeko beste tresna batzuk
Tresna honi eman nahi dizkiogun erabilerak bezainbeste blog mota daude. Hau izan
daiteke blogen sailkapen bat, haien edukietako gaien arabera:
• Pertsonalak: eguneroko tradizional gisa har litzatekeena izango da. Eguneroko
esperientzien inguruan idazten duten pertsonak, kexak, poemak, maniak,
zaletasunak... Besteen esku-hartzeetara zabalik dagoen eguneroko
pribatua.
• Gogoetazkoak: egunerokotasunari aurre egiteko baino gehiago gure izatearen
inguruko arloren baten gaineko gogoeta egiteko erabiltzen direnak, ikuspegi
teknikoa baino filosofikoa izaten dute batez ere.
• Politikoak: gertaera politikoak lantzen dituzten gogoetazko blogak.
• Teknikoak: gai jakin bat bakarrik lantzen dutenak, esaterako, ordenagailuak,
literatura, diseinua, sukaldaritza... Irudika daitekeen edozein kategoria mota.
• Kazetaritzakoak: hainbat arlotako informaziori buruzko blogak, oro har, egunkari
fisiko bateko atalen antzekoak izan ohi dira.
• Kolaboraziozkoak: pertsona batek baino gehiagok idatzitakoak eta
mantendutakoak.
• Legezkoak: legearen arloko gaiak eztabaidatzeko erabiltzen direnak.
• Korporatiboak: enpresa asko, eta ez kazetaritzaren ingurukoak bakarrik, hasi
dira blog "erdiofizialak" eskaintzen (ez dira zuzenean ofizialak), eta modu
zuzenagoan langilearengana edota hornitzaileengana nahiz bezeroengana
iristea lortu nahi dute.
