Emilio García-Sánchez is a professor at the Universidad Cardenal Herrera-CEU in Valencia, Spain who leads a multidisciplinary bioethics research group. The group's lines of research include analyzing the sociological and ethical treatment of human vulnerability, protecting human dignity throughout life, and threats to human nature from biotechnologies like enhancement. With over ten years of experience publishing and organizing conferences in bioethics, the group welcomes opportunities for international collaboration like research stays, shared doctoral supervision, and conferences on protecting vulnerable populations. • General analysis of the sociological and
ethical treatment of human characteristic
of vulnerability. Determine the level of social
acceptance and rejection of the most vul-
nerable and disabled and raise the conse-
quences in biomedical practice.

• We have been working in this area of re-
search within bioethics for ten years. Our
research group has published numerous ar-
ticles in national and international journals,
and also monographs. We have organized
several national meetings on current bioe-
thical issues. On the other hand, we are a
multidisciplinary group formed by professors
and researchers from different disciplines
which allows us to address bioethical issues
from a global perspective. We combine our
teaching functions with attendance to natio-
nal and international congresses and stays
in Spain and abroad.
