My family came on boat from western Europe. I had a lot of family from Ireland, England, and also Scandinavia. Studying my family tree I have seen where I may have inherited some kind of traits related to health. My Grandfather Gene Harrison died from a pulmonary embolism which is blood clots in the lungs. My father Jeff Moore has had the same problems being in and out of hospitals 3 times now because of pulmonary embolisms. According to the doctors at UCSD Medical, I may have inherited it genetically so in the future I may have the same problem. So I have to treat it now with medicine to prevent it from happening. PHYSICAL SOCIAL MENTAL AND EMOTIONAL 98 86 94 I am a very physical person. I try to be active everyday and I take Sundays off to let my body and mind rest. I do mix martial arts, and I use to play football for most of my life. I try to stay fit by eating the right foods. But since I am always active I eat a lot, and sometimes it isn’t always the right food. I try to drink milk 3 times a day, and at least have some sort of chicken or beef with my dinner every night. Mental and Emotionally, I love people; I pretty much get a long with anyone. I got to bed late at night because I am always doing some sort of homework, but I seem to get the right amount of sleep I need to properly work for the day. Health Triangle

Greatest personal achievement – My greatest achievement was when I was in 5th grade I earned my black belt in Tae Kwon Do. Martial Artists weren’t known for receiving such an achievement at that young of an age. I trained for 4 years really hard to get it and no one can ever take that achievement away from me. Happiest moment – One of the happiest moments in my life was when I got my first surfboard. I had been riding a sponge for years because my dad didn’t feel like I was completely ready for a surfboard. I lived I Houston, Texas at the time which was hours from the beach. But I got my first surfboard on my 13th birthday, When I got it I was so stoked to ride it. Family’s greatest achievement – One of my family’s greatest achievements would probably getting a home in this tough economy. We moved back to San Diego 20 months ago so finding a home right now is very tough. We all worked together I search of finding a place and getting me out of my aunt and uncles house. We got a house 2 week s ago. What can you do better – One thing I can do to be better, is be better to my parents. I haven’t lived with my parents in over 20 months and its going to take some time getting use to living with them again. But one thing I can do is just listen to them and their rules better. One year to live and guaranteed success, what would you attempt – I would probably raise enough money to donate to Africa to help children with malaria. I would also work hard to find a cure to a disease that doctors are having trouble treating now. Amazing, Awesome, Fun Matthew Dean Harrison Moore Personal Crest
One song that I feel represents me is “Don’t Stop Believin’”. I feel that that song represents me in a way I can relate to the name of the song. Because during my varsity football season, we didn’t have the dream season everyone wants. But we were put through many difficult set backs of injuries and stuff. But we didn’t stop believing and we worked hard to get into playoffs as a team. Another reason is because I lived with my aunt and uncle for 20 months while my parents and I tried to establish ourselves out here in California trying to find a house. It took a while but we finally got it. I kept thinking that it was never going to happen but my mom kept me assured and it happened. We didn’t stop believing we could do it and we did it. Don’t Stop Believin’ Just a small town girl Livin' in a lonely world She took the midnight train Goin' anywhere Just a city boy Born and raised in South Detroit He took the midnight train Goin' anywhere A singer in a smokey room A smell of wine and cheap perfume For a smile they can share the night It goes on and on and on and on Strangers waiting Up and down the boulevard Their shadows searching In the night Streetlights, people Livin' just to find emotion Hidin', somewhere in the night Workin' hard to get my fill Everybody wants a thrill Payin' anything to roll the dice Just one more time Some will win Some will lose Some were born to sing the blues Oh, the movie never ends It goes on and on and on and on Strangers waiting Up and down the boulevard Their shadows searching In the night Streetlights, people Livin' just to find emotion Hidin', somewhere in the night Don't stop believin' Hold on to the feelin' Streetlights, people Don't stop believin' Hold on Streetlights, people Unique Self
One Person who has been a huge inspiration in my life is my cousin. His name is Christopher Pitcher. He is a officer in the United States Navy and currently he is in Florida training to fly fighter jets. He has been a huge influence on me because of how much integrity he has. He never gives up on anything he does and he does it to the fullest. He rises to the occasions that has been put forth him. Because of the success he has had in the Navy I want to follow his steps. When he joined the navy he was a corpsman, he was a medic to the marines. I plan on joining the navy after I graduate and become a corpsman just like my cousin because of the inspiration he has given me in life. Dear Christopher, The things you have done in your life with so much success at such a young age has shown me how much of a man you are. You have taught me to never give up on anything I put my mind to and I hope to follow in your footsteps someday. The things that the military and navy has taught you brings huge interest to me because I have seen some of the things you have done. It has shown me that if I join I will have success in my future and also it will make me a better man like you. You have given me so much inspiration in what I want to do in life that joining the Navy after high school will be my best choice. I hope to one day become a doctor after the military and what you have described to me in being a corpsman will help me achieve that huge goal of mine. You inspire me to be a better person everyday and I thank you for that. I hope to see you soon after you graduate from flight school. Good luck out there and stay strong. Sincerely, Matt I see myself working and living I San Diego for the next 3 years and 5 Years at Camp Pendleton being in the Navy. In 10 years I hope to be a Doctor possibly living here in San Diego and hopefully having a wife and kids. If I could accomplish one thing in life it would probably be having a successful career. Future Aspirations
The Media in my opinion has a huge impact on peoples image. I feel that since I do Mixed Martial Arts and Surf I see the brands I like and I just wear those because it expresses who I truly am. And because I see all the clothes on TV that most of the athletes that I admire wear, I try to have the same clothes as them. Everyone does it, you couldn’t really say someone has their own style because they try to relate to what they do. But I wear Tap Out or surf and skate brands because it helps me express who I am, a kid from California. For sports when I watch NFL or college games I see the athletes with all the cool gear. I like the Nike cleats and gloves most of the players have. So when it comes to football season I get the same stuff as them because I have the mindset “look good, feel good, play good”.
