Ms. Colon is a teacher, entrepreneur, actor, and motivator born in Puerto Rico and raised in New York City. She has a Master's degree from Columbia University and experience in film, television, and commercials. She enjoys collaborating with colleagues to build community among students and uses rewards to encourage good behavior while maintaining consistent policies. She has over 20 years of teaching experience in California and loves teaching, motivating, and encouraging her students.

1. Ms. Colon is a teacher, entrepreneur, an actor and a motivator, was born in
Puerto Rico and raised in New York City; In addition to her vast education
experience, earning her Master's degree from Columbia University. Ms. Colon
also has a background in feature film, a variety of television shows and
numerous commercials. She has also performed in theatre and has extensive
training in drama from schools in Los Angeles and New York. She enjoys being
a team player who collaborates with her colleagues to build community among
faculty and students alike; Has a thorough knowledge of what it takes to be a
teacher that translates into meaningful objectives for students to accomplish;
And uses rewards and incentives to encourage good behavior, while keeping
consistent with class policies. Her strengths lie in classroom management, in
working with the students and caring about them. Helping the students to
understand the importance of the choices they make in their work, attitude and
behavior in class and in school. She loves to teach, motivate and encourage her
students.
Ms. Colon currently hold a valid California teaching credential; tenured and has
approximately 20 years of teaching students with socioeconomic levels.
The combination of her formal education, drama and entertainment experience,
along with her Master’s degree, provides a strong foundation for her as a
teacher.
During her free time she enjoys hiking, power walking, and bicycle riding by the
beach. One of her favorite things to do is to go to Sunday service and fellowship
with others.
