The Ontario County Industrial Development Agency is seeking bids for a project to extend and widen the runway and taxiway at the Canandaigua Airport. The base bid includes extending Runway 13 by 2,300 feet and Taxiway A by 2,500 feet. Add-on No. 1 includes widening and overlaying the existing 3,200 foot Runway 13-31. Sealed bids are due by June 21, 2012. A pre-bid conference will be held on June 11, 2012. Bidders must submit a 5% bid bond or cashier's check with their proposal.

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that sealed bid Proposals are sought and requested for performance of a
contract, according to specifications, to be let by the Ontario County Industrial Development Agency
(OCIDA) for the Canandaigua Airport as follows:
EXTENSION & WIDENING OF RUNWAY 13-31
The project includes but is not limited to:
Base Bid: Encompasses construction of a 2,300 feet extension of Runway 13 including placement
of fill material, full pavement section, drainage improvements, RW lighting, electrical cable &
conduits, electrical vault modifications, temporary and permanent pavement markings, and airfield
guidance signs.
Add-On No. 1: Encompasses construction of a 2,500 feet extension of parallel Taxiway A
including placement of fill material, full pavement section, drainage improvements, TW lighting,
electrical cable & conduits, permanent pavement markings, and airfield guidance signs.
Add-On No. 2: Encompasses widening and overlay of the existing 3,200 feet Runway 13-31
including full pavement section in widening area, asphalt overlay of existing RW, RW & TW
lighting, electrical cable & conduits, permanent pavement markings, and airfield guidance signs.
Separate, sealed bid Proposals for the above Project at the Canandaigua Airport in Canandaigua, NY will
be received by OCIDA at 20 Ontario St., Suite 106-B, until 1:00 pm. on June 21st, 2012. The bids
Proposals will be publicly opened by OCIDA and read at 1:00 p.m. on the same date.
A deposit of one hundred ($100.00) for each set of plans and specifications will be required by the
OCIDA from prospective bidders. Checks shall be made payable to the Ontario County Industrial
Development Agency. The deposit will be held by the OCIDA for 30 days from bid opening. During
this time, the deposit will be returned to the bidder in full, provided the plans and specifications are
returned in good condition. Non-bidders will not be refunded their deposits.
Copies of plans and specifications will be available for purchase or examination beginning at 12pm on

A Cashier’s Check, drawn upon a state of national bank, or a Proposal Bond with a Surety’s Bond
Affidavit, in the penal sum of five percent (5%) of the total maximum bid price will be required with each
bid Proposal.
