and they felt no shame.”
Gen 2:25
How it changes people
“A man with leprosy came to him and
begged him on his knees, If you are
willing, you can make me clean. Filled with
compassion, Jesus reached out his hand
and touched the man, “I am willing,” he
said “Be clean!”

Why Satan tempts us to
“Now the serpent was more crafty than
any of the wild animals the Lord God had
made. He said to the woman, “Did you
really say , “You must not eat from any
tree in the garden?” The woman said to
the serpent, “We may eat fruit from the
trees in the garden but God did say, “You
must not eat fruit from the three that is in
the middle of the garden, and you must

not touch it, or you will die.” “You will not
surely die,” The serpent said to the
woman. “For God knows that when you
eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you
will be like God, knowing good and evil.
When the woman saw that the fruit of the
tree was good for food and pleasing to the
eye, and also desirable for gaining
wisdom, she took some and ate of it

My son, if sinners entice you
Do not give in to them
If they say, “Come along with us;
Let’s lie in wait for someone’s blood,
Let’s waylay some harmless soul;
Proverbs 1:10-12

My son, do not go along with them
Do not set foot on their paths
For their feet rush into sin
They are swift to shed blood
How useless to spread a net
In full view of all the birds!
Proverbs 1:15-17

Let’s swallow them alive, like the grave
And whole, like those who go down the pit
We will get all sorts of valuable things
And fill our houses with plunder
Throw in your lot with us
And we will share a common purse
Proverbs 1:12-14
Often appears attractive
These men lie in wait for their blood;
They waylay only themselves!
Such is the end of all who go after ill-gotten
gain;
It takes away the lives of those who get it.

became a pillar of salt.”
Genesis 19:26
Breaks fellowship with God
“Then the man and his wife heard the
sound of the Lord God as he was walking
in the garden in the cool of the day, and
they hid from the Lord God among the
trees of the garden.”
Genesis 3:8
Trying to excuse it by blaming

“Now you are under a curse and driven
from the ground, which opened its mouth
to receive your brother’s blood from your
hand. When you work the ground, it will no
longer yield its crops for you. You will be a
restless wanderer on the earth. Cain said
to the Lord, “My punishment is more than I
can bear.” – Genesis 3:11-13
Disobedience is sin
“Today you are driving me from the land,
and I will be hidden from our presence, I
will be a restless wanderer on the earth,
and whoever finds me will kill me. But the
Lord said to him, “Not so; if anyone kills
Cain, he will suffer vengeance seven times
over.” Then the Lord put a mark on Cain
so that no one who found him would kill
him. Genesis 3:14-16
Disobedience is sin
So Cain went out from the Lord’s presence
and lived in the land of Nod, east of Eden.
Cain lay with his wife, and she became
pregnant and gave birth to Enoch. Cain
was then building a city, and he named it
after his son Enoch.

Choosing to sin brings God
sorrows
The Lord was grieved that he had made
man on the earth, and his heart was filled
with pain. So the Lord said, “I will wipe
mankind, whom I have created, from the
face of the earth – men and animals, and
creatures that move along the ground, and
birds of the air – for I am grieved that I
have made them. But Noah found favor in
the eyes of the Lord. - Genesis 6:6-8

people
Noah a man of the soil, proceeded to plant
a vineyard. When he drank some of its
win, he became drunk and lay uncovered
inside his tent. Ham, the father of Canaan,
saw his father’s nakedness and told his
two brothers outside. But Shem and
Japheth took a garment and laid it across
their shoulders; then they walked in
backward Genesis 9:20-27

And covered their father’s nakedness.
Their faces were turned the other way so
that they would not see their father’s
nakedness. When Noah awoke from his
wine and found out what his youngest son
had done to him he said “Cursed be
Canaan! The lowest of slaves will he be to
his brothers.

Blessed be the Lord, the God of Shem!
May Canaan be the slave of Shem.
May God extend the territory of Japheth

and may Canaan be his slave.

Sinning out of desperation
Lot and his two daughters left Zoar and
settled in the mountains, for he was afraid
to stay in Zoar. He and his two daughters
lived in a cave. One day the older
daughter said to the younger, “Our father
is old, and there is no man around here to
lie with us, as is custom all over the earth.
Let’s get our father to drink wine and then
lie with him and preserve our family line.
Sinning out of desperation
through our father. That night they got
their fathers to drink wine, and the older
daughter went in and lay with him. He was
not aware of it when she lay down or when
she got up The next day the older
daughter said to the younger, “Last night I
lay with my father. Let’s get him to drink
wine again tonight, and you go in and lie
with him so we can preserve our family

line through our father. So they get their
father to get to drink wine that night also,
and the younger daughter went in and lay
with him. Again he was not aware of it
when she lay down or when she got up.
So both of Lot’s daughters became
pregnant by their father.
Genesis 19:30-38

The older daguhter has a son, and she
named him Moab, he is the father of the
Moabites of today. The younger daughter
also had a son, and she named him Ben-
Ammi; he is the father of the Ammonites
today.
Genesis 19:30-38
Turning sinful acts into habits
“And there Abraham said of his wife
Sarah, “She is my sister.” Then Abimelech
king of Gerar sent for Sarah and took her.”
Genesis 20:2

Reuben went in and slept with his father’s
concubine Bilhah, and Israel heard of it”
Genesis 35:22

“Turbulent as the waters, you will no
longer excel, for you went up onto your
father’s bed, onto my couch and defiled it.”

“When Judah saw her, he thought she was
a prostitute, for she had covered her face.
Not realizing that she was his daughter-in-law,
he went over to her by the roadside
and said, “Come now, let me sleep with
you.” “And what will you give me to sleep
with you?” she asked. I will send you a
young goat from my flock,” he said
Genesis 38:15-24

“Will you give me something as a pledge
until you send it? She asked. He said,
“What pledge should I give you?” Your
seal and your and its cord and staff in your
hand,” She answered, so he gave them to
her and slept with her, and she became
pregnant by him. After she left, she took
off her veil and put on her widow’s clothes
again.Genesis 38:15-24

Meanwhile Judah sent the young goat by
his friend the Adullamite in order to get his
pledge back from the woman, but he did
not find her. He asked the men who lived
there, “Where is the shrine prostitute who
has beside the road at Enaim? There
hasn’t been any shrine prostitute here,”

So he went back to Judah and said, “I
didn’t find her. Besides, the men who lived
there said, “There hasn’t been any shrine

keep what she has, or we will be a
laughingstock. After all, I did send her this
young goat but you did not find her.

About three months later Judah was
told, “Your daughter-in-law Tamar is guilty
of prostitution, and as a result she is now

“Glancing this way and that and seeing no
one, he killed the Egyptian and hid him in
the sand. The next day he went out and
saw two Hebrews fighting. He asked the
one in the wrong, “Why are you hitting
your fellow Hebrew? The man said, “Who
made you ruler and judge over us? Are
you thinking of killing me as you killed the
Egyptian.” Exodus 2:12-14
Significance of our redemption

At midnight the Lord struck down all the
firstborn of Pharaoh, who sat on the
throne, to the firstborn of the prisoner, who
was in the dungeon, And the firstborn of all
the livestock as well. Pharaoh and all his
officials and all the Egyptians got up
during the night and there was a loud
wailing in Egypt, for there was not a house
without someone dead. - Exodus 12:29-30
Its consequences are passed on
Maintaining to love to thousands, and
forgiving wickedness, rebellion and sin.
Yet he does not leave the guilty
unpunished; he punishes the children and
their children for the sin of the fathers to
the third and fourth generation.

“Be careful not to make a treaty with those
who live in the land where you are going
or they will be a snare among you. Break
down their altars, smash their sacred
stones and cut down their Asherah pole.
Do not worship any other god, for the
Lord, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous
God.” - Exodus 34:12-14
Yeast a symbol of
Every grain offering you bring to the Lord
must be made without yeast, for you are
not to burn any yeast or honey in an
offering of the firstfruits, but they are not to
be offered on the altar as a pleasing
aroma.
Leviticus 2:11
Unintentional sins are still sins
“The Lord said to Moses, “Say to the
Israelites: When anyone sins
unintentionally and does what is forbidden
in any of the Lord’s commands.”
Leviticus 4:1
Significance of Day of Atonement
And the LORD spake unto Moses after the
death of the two sons of Aaron, when they
offered before the LORD, and died;
Leviticus 16:1
How does blood make atonement
for?
For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and
I have given it to you upon the altar to
make an atonement for your souls: for it is
the blood that maketh an atonement for
the soul. Therefore I said unto the children
of Israel, No soul of you shall eat blood,
neither shall any stranger that sojourneth
among you eat blood. And whatsoever
man there be of the children of Israel

or of the strangers that sojourn among you,
which hunteth and catcheth any beast or
fowl that may be eaten; he shall even pour
out the blood thereof, and cover it with
dust. For it is the life of all flesh; the blood
of it is for the life thereof: therefore I said
unto the children of Israel, Ye shall eat the
blood of no manner of flesh: for the life of
all flesh is the blood thereof: whosoever
eateth it shall be cut off. Leviticus 17:11-14
Extra danger of intentional sin
But the soul that doeth ought
presumptuously, whether he be born in the
land, or a stranger, the same reproacheth
the LORD; and that soul shall be cut off
from among his people. Because he hath
despised the word of the LORD, and hath
broken his commandment, that soul shall
utterly be cut off; his iniquity shall be upon
him. Numbers 15:30:31
It should anger us
And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
Phinehas, the son of Eleazar, the son of
Aaron the priest, hath turned my wrath
away from the children of Israel, while he
was zealous for my sake among them,
that I consumed not the children of Israel
in my jealousy.

Don’t hesitate to remove it
And Moses was wroth with the officers of the
host, with the captains over thousands, and
captains over hundreds, which came from the
battle. And Moses said unto them, Have ye
saved all the women alive? Behold, these
caused the children of Israel, through the
counsel of Balaam, to commit trespass against
the LORD in the matter of Peor, and there was a
plague among the congregation of the LORD.
Numbers 31:14-16
Indifferent attitude toward it

God isn’t too “nice” to judge sin
And when the LORD thy God shall deliver
them before thee; thou shalt smite them,
and utterly destroy them; thou shalt make
no covenant with them, nor shew mercy

that thou mayest observe to do according
to all the law, which Moses my servant

Why Achan’s sin brought
judgment on all Israel
Then Joshua commanded the officers of the
people, saying, Pass through the host, and
command the people, saying, Prepare you
victuals; for within three days ye shall pass over
this Jordan, to go in to possess the land, which
the LORD your God giveth you to possess it.And
to the Reubenites, and to the Gadites, and to
half the tribe of Manasseh, spake Joshua,
saying,
Joshua 7:10-12
Always hurts someone else
And Joshua, and all Israel with him, took Achan
the son of Zerah, and the silver, and the
garment, and the wedge of gold, and his sons,
and his daughters, and his oxen, and his asses,
and his sheep, and his tent, and all that he had:
and they brought them unto the valley of Achor.
And Joshua said, Why hast thou troubled us?
the LORD shall trouble thee this day. And all
Israel stoned him with stones, and burned them
with fire, after they had stoned them with stones.
Joshua 7:24,25
Why we fail to rid our lives of
And the children of Benjamin did not drive
out the Jebusites that inhabited
Jerusalem; but the Jebusites dwell with
the children of Benjamin in Jerusalem unto
this day.
Judges 1:21
Judges reveals cycle of
sin,judgment and repentance
And also all that generation were gathered
unto their fathers: and there arose another
generation after them, which knew not the
LORD, nor yet the works which he had
done for Israel.
Judges 2:10
Ultimately against God
And the children of Israel again did evil in
the sight of the LORD, when Ehud was
dead.
Judges 4:1
Don’t let guilt feelings over sin
keep you from praying
And Samson called unto the LORD, and
said, O Lord GOD, remember me, I pray
thee, and strengthen me, I pray thee, only
this once, O God, that I may be at once
avenged of the Philistines for my two eyes.
And Samson took hold of the two middle
pillars upon which the house stood, and on
which it was borne up, of the one with his
right hand, and of the other with his left.
Don’t let guilt feelings over sin
keep you from praying
And Samson said, Let me die with the
Philistines. And he bowed himself with all
his might; and the house fell upon the
lords, and upon all the people that were
therein. So the dead which he slew at his
death were more than they which he slew
in his life.

Consequences of intentional sin
more severe
Howbeit he refused to turn aside:
wherefore Abner with the hinder end of the
spear smote him under the fifth rib, that
the spear came out behind him; and he fell
down there, and died in the same place:
and it came to pass, that as many as
came to the place where Asahel fell down
and died stood still.

Consequences of intentional sin

Joab also and Abishai pursued after
Abner: and the sun went down when they
were come to the hill of Ammah, that lieth
before Giah by the way of the wilderness
of Gibeon. And the children of Benjamin
gathered themselves together after Abner,
and became one troop, and stood on the
top of an hill.
1 Samuel 2:23-25
One sin lead to another
And it came to pass, after the year was
expired, at the time when kings go forth to
battle, that David sent Joab, and his
servants with him, and all Israel; and they
destroyed the children of Ammon, and
besieged Rabbah. But David tarried still at
Jerusalem.

One sin lead to another
Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him

their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an
image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and
fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. Wherefore God
also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts
of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies
between themselves: Romans 1:21-24
One sin lead to another
Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for
when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of
life, which the Lord hath promised to them that
love him. Let no man say when he is tempted, I
am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted
with evil, neither tempteth he any man: But
every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of
his own lust, and enticed. Then when lust hath
conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it
is finished, bringeth forth death.
James 1:12-15

And they cut off the head of Sheba the son of Bichri, and

And the LORD was angry with Solomon,
because his heart was turned from the
LORD God of Israel, which had appeared
unto him twice, And had commanded him
concerning this thing, that he should not
go after other gods: but he kept not that
which the LORD commanded.

The worst sinners lead others into

Because of the sins of Jeroboam which he

Repentance changes attitudes
that lead to sin
Because thine heart was tender, and thou
hast humbled thyself before the LORD,
when thou heardest what I spake against
this place, and against the inhabitants
thereof, that they should become a
desolation and a curse, and hast rent thy

God removes stains

though they be red like crimson, they shall

Six sins that God condemned
Judah for?
Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light,
and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! Woe
unto them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight!
Woe unto them that are mighty to drink wine, and men of strength to mingle

righteousness of the righteous from him!
Therefore as the fire devoureth the stubble, and the flame consumeth the
chaff, so their root shall be as rottenness, and their blossom shall go up as
dust: because they have cast away the law of the LORD of hosts, and
despised the word of the Holy One of Israel. Therefore is the anger of the
LORD kindled against his people, and he hath stretched forth his hand
against them, and hath smitten them: and the hills did tremble, and their
carcases were torn in the midst of the streets. For all this his anger is not
turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.
Isaiah 5:20-25
Isaiah 5:8-25
Are there some you refuse to
give up?
Woe unto them that draw iniquity with
cords of vanity, and sin as it were with a
cart rope: That say, Let him make speed,
and hasten his work, that we may see it:
and let the counsel of the Holy One of
Israel draw nigh and come, that we may
know it!
Isaiah 5:18-19
God not limited by ours
So all the generations from Abraham to
David are fourteen generations; and from
David until the carrying away into Babylon
are fourteen generations; and from the
carrying away into Babylon unto Christ are
fourteen generations.
Matthew 1:1-
17
Danger of tolerating sin
And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and
cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that
one of thy members should perish, and not that
thy whole body should be cast into hell. And if
thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast it
from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of
thy members should perish, and not that thy
whole body should be cast into hell.
Matthew 5:29,30
Like an incurable sin
And, behold, there came a leper and
worshipped him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt,
thou canst make me clean.
And Jesus put forth his hand, and touched
him, saying, I will; be thou clean. And
immediately his leprosy was cleansed.
Matthew 8:2,3
Getting rid is just the first steps
When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh
through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none. Then
he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came
out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept,
and garnished.
Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other
spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and
dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than
the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked
generation.
Matthew 12:43-45
Dealing with those who sin
against us
Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against
thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and
him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained
thy brother. But if he will not hear thee, then take
with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of
two or three witnesses every word may be
established. And if he shall neglect to hear them,
tell it unto the church: but if he neglect to hear
the church, let him be unto thee as an heathen
man and a publican.
Matthew 18:15-17
Cools your love for God
And because iniquity shall abound, the
love of many shall wax cold.
Matthew 24:12
Importance of Jesus dying for
And, behold, the veil of the temple was
rent in twain from the top to the bottom;
and the earth did quake, and the rocks
rent;
Matthew 27:51
Wrong words can lead to
And when the daughter of the said
Herodias came in, and danced, and
pleased Herod and them that sat with him,
the king said unto the damsel, Ask of me
whatsoever thou wilt, and I will give it thee.
And he sware unto her, Whatsoever thou
shalt ask of me, I will give it thee, unto the
half of my kingdom.
Mark 6:22,23
Begins with attitudes and
thoughts
And he said, That which cometh out of the
man, that defileth the man. For from
within, out of the heart of men, proceed
evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications,
murders,Thefts, covetousness,
wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil
eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness: All
these evil things come from within, and
defile the man.
Mark 7:20,23
Our own efforts not enough to
defeat
And wheresoever he taketh him, he
teareth him: and he foameth, and
gnasheth with his teeth, and pineth away:
and I spake to thy disciples that they
should cast him out; and they could not.
Mark 9:18
Responsibility to confront it
And whosoever shall offend one of these
little ones that believe in me, it is better for
him that a millstone were hanged about
his neck, and he were cast into the sea.
Mark 9:42
Jesus born without
And the angel answered and said unto
her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon
thee, and the power of the Highest shall
overshadow thee: therefore also that holy
thing which shall be born of thee shall be
called the Son of God.
Luke 1:35
How we rationalize ours
And why beholdest thou the mote that is in
thy brother's eye, but perceivest not the
beam that is in thine own eye?
Luke 6:41
How we rationalize ours
Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being
in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But
made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a
servant, and was made in the likeness of men:And being found in
fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto
death, even the death of the cross.Wherefore God also hath highly
exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:
That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in
heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that
every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of
God the Father.
Phil 2:5-11
Must face it before you can be
forgiven
Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which
are many, are forgiven; for she loved
much: but to whom little is forgiven, the
same loveth little.
Luke 7:47
Must face it before you can be
forgiven
Then answered Simon, and said, Pray ye
to the Lord for me, that none of these
things which ye have spoken come upon
me
Acts 8:24
Why sin against the Holy Spirit is
unforgivable
And whosoever shall speak a word against
the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him:
but unto him that blasphemeth against the
Holy Ghost it shall not be forgiven.
Luke 12:10
God seeks out sinners
And he spake this parable unto them, saying,
What man of you, having an hundred sheep, if
he lose one of them, doth not leave the ninety
and nine in the wilderness, and go after that
which is lost, until he find it?And when he hath
found it, he layeth it on his shoulders, rejoicing.
And when he cometh home, he calleth together
his friends and neighbours, saying unto them,
Rejoice with me; for I have found my sheep
which was lost. Luke 15:3-6
As a darkness in our lives
In him was life; and the life was the light of
men. And the light shineth in darkness;
and the darkness comprehended it not.
John 1:4,5
Receiving forgiveness for
The next day John seeth Jesus coming
unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of
God, which taketh away the sin of the
world.
John 1:29
Finding freedom from its control
Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say
unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the
servant of sin. And the servant abideth not
in the house for ever: but the Son abideth
ever.
John 8:34-35
Not always punished immediately
Then saith one of his disciples, Judas
Iscariot, Simon's son, which should betray
him, Why was not this ointment sold for
three hundred pence, and given to the
poor? This he said, not that he cared for
the poor; but because he was a thief, and
had the bag, and bare what was put
therein.
John 12:4-6
No sin too great for God to forgive
And when he had thus spoken, one of the
officers which stood by struck Jesus with
the palm of his hand, saying, Answerest
thou the high priest so? Jesus answered
him, If I have spoken evil, bear witness of
the evil: but if well, why smitest thou me?
John 18:22-27
No sin too great for God to forgive
Now Annas had sent him bound unto Caiaphas
the high priest. And Simon Peter stood and
warmed himself. They said therefore unto him,
Art not thou also one of his disciples? He denied
it, and said, I am not. One of the servants of the
high priest, being his kinsman whose ear Peter
cut off, saith, Did not I see thee in the garden
with him? Peter then denied again: and
immediately the cock crew. John 18:22-27
No sin too great for God to forgive
Even as David also describeth the
blessedness of the man, unto whom God
imputeth righteousness without works,
Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities
are forgiven, and whose sins are covered.
Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will
not impute sin.
Romans 4:6-8
Jesus is the final sacrifice for sin
When Jesus therefore had received the
vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he
bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.
John 19:30
Can’t have benefits of Christianity
while clinging to sin
Repent ye therefore, and be converted,
that your sins may be blotted out, when
the times of refreshing shall come from the
presence of the Lord;
Acts 3:19
Why is God angry at sinful
people
For the wrath of God is revealed from
heaven against all ungodliness and
unrighteousness of men, who hold the
truth in unrighteousness;
Romans 1:18
Just one enough to condemn us
For all have sinned, and come short of the
glory of God;
Romans 3:23
How to speak out against
Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man,
whosoever thou art that judgest: for
wherein thou judgest another, thou
condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest
doest the same things.
Romans 2:1
Never underestimate its power
For that which I do I allow not: for what I
would, that do I not; but what I hate, that
do I.
Romans 7:15
Helping sinners vs. judging them
Therefore judge nothing before the time,
until the Lord come, who both will bring to
light the hidden things of darkness, and
will make manifest the counsels of the
hearts: and then shall every man have
praise of God. 1 Corinthians 4:5
Church cannot ignore flagrant sin
It is reported commonly that there is
fornication among you, and such
fornication as is not so much as named
among the Gentiles, that one should have
his father's wife.
1 Cor 5:1
Difference between judging
others and dealing with their sin
For what have I to do to judge them also
that are without? do not ye judge them that
are within?
1 Cor 5:12
Conversion doesn’t take away
sinful desires at once
And they that are Christ's have crucified
the flesh with the affections and lusts.
Galatians 5:24
How to get out from its control
And you, being dead in your sins and the
uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he
quickened together with him, having
forgiven you all trespasses;
Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances
that was against us, which was contrary to
us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to
his cross; Col 2:13-1
Consider its long-range
consequences
Lest there be any fornicator, or profane
person, as Esau, who for one morsel of
meat sold his birthright. For ye know how
that afterward, when he would have
inherited the blessing, he was rejected: for
he found no place of repentance, though
he sought it carefully with tears.
Hebrews 12:16,17
Sin is also not doing right
Therefore to him that knoweth to do good,
and doeth it not, to him it is sin.
James 4:17
Confessing them to each other
Confess your faults one to another, and
pray one for another, that ye may be
healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a
righteous man availeth much.
James 5:16
Forgiveness may not stop sin’s
consequences
For the time is come that judgment must
begin at the house of God: and if it first
begin at us, what shall the end be of them
that obey not the gospel of God?
And if the righteous scarcely be saved,
where shall the ungodly and the sinner
appear?
1 Peter 4:17,18
The difference between committing
a sin and remaining in sin
Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth
also the law: for sin is the transgression of
the law.
1 John 3:4
Don’t accommodate it under the
guise of being open-minded
But I have a few things against thee,
because thou hast there them that hold
the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balac
to cast a stumbling block before the
children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed
unto idols, and to commit fornication.
Revelation 2:14

For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul. Therefore I said unto the children of Israel, No soul of you shall eat blood, neither shall any stranger that sojourneth among you eat blood. And whatsoever man there be of the children of Israel
  • 50. How does blood make atonement for? or of the strangers that sojourn among you, which hunteth and catcheth any beast or fowl that may be eaten; he shall even pour out the blood thereof, and cover it with dust. Leviticus 17:11-14
  • 51. Extra danger of intentional sin But the soul that doeth ought presumptuously, whether he be born in the land, or a stranger, the same reproacheth the LORD; and that soul shall be cut off from among his people.
