The document describes the BIATRON installation created for the 2005 Biathlon World Championship in Hochfilzen, Austria. The BIATRON was a 1.5 hectare snow-covered area defined by 200 meter long, 3.5 meter tall snow walls containing experimental architectural structures made of snow and ice. The centerpiece was a futuristic dome-shaped snowball café and event space, the largest snowball structure ever built. The goal of the BIATRON was to provide visitors a magical winter experience combining snow, light, sound, play and multimedia displays.
