• Virtually all economic studies show that the “key variable”
driving long term economic growth is education
• Huge progress has been made on this front in Africa in the last decade
– The Global Campaign for Education argues in the past ten years there has been huge
success across Africa with 40 million children being able to school in the past ten years.
