This document discusses using technology and global collaboration to promote reading and writing for pleasure among young people. It describes the Write Path project, which connected schools from around the world over several years to collaboratively continue stories started by children's authors. Students would contribute paragraphs via blog posts and comments, and sometimes video calls, creating finished stories. The project grew over time to include more schools, illustrators, authors, and social media like Twitter to build connections. The goal was to engage students in reading and writing while allowing them to experience being published authors through the collaborative online project.
