time wasters
This might seem like a silly suggestion on the face of it, but just the
mere acknowledgement of the things that are threatening your
efficiency will absolutely help you schedule your day with the tasks
that are helping, not hurting, your success. 
2. Only host
MANDATORY
MEETINGS
Meetings are one of the biggest time wasters of all, but they can
actually be extremely productive if correctly executed. The key to
successful meetings is two­fold, first, they must be necessary. You
shouldn't host meetings just because you've allotted time in your
weekly schedule for them, or because it's how things have always
been done. Meetings should only be held when the success of your
business depends on it. 
Secondly, limit meetings to 30 minutes, max. Reducing the meeting
time will make each minute more valuable. Think that you need at
least an hour to host an effective meeting? Consider Twitter for a
minute, a platform that depends on users being a clear and concise
as possible in 160 characters. People thought it was ludicrous at first,
now it is a beloved platform used worldwide. You can do it!
While you're already reducing your meeting times, start using the
timer function on your smart phone. Set your timer to take breaks,
lunch, and stretching time. Still not convinced? Use your timer to
time various tasks throughout the day and use that data to better
organize your workday. Why take a guess when you can be more
accurate with the tap of a button? 
Is your computer screen filled to the brim with windows, is your
browser plagued with tabs? Save your sanity and time by investing in
a second monitor. Doubling up will help you to work smarter, not
harder!

The 2 minute rule, for those that are not familiar with it, is that if a task
will take you 2 minutes or less to complete, do it now.
Individually, these short but nagging tasks don't pose much of a
problem, but when they pile up, that's when the time killing monster
comes to life. Keep the monster at bay by getting tiny tasks done right
away so you can concentrate on more important action items! 
Constantly feeling the pressure to make small talk with chatty
coworkers? Try carrying around a notebook and/or laptop. People
might be less likely to stop you when they notice that you are in
business mode! Try it out!

7. EXERCISE IN THE A.M.
Exercising any time of the day is a great way to boost productivity and
alleviate stress, but exercising early in the morning is an awesome
way to get the blood pumping and the endorphins flowing, which, in
turn, will help you to produce inspired work before noon! If you can't
make it to the gym, try doing just one minute of jumping jacks to
influence your productivity.

8. FUEL Believe it or not, you can't
survive purely on multiple
cups of java. If you want to
produce more, you need to
nourish your body with
fruits, veggies and protein!

RECORD VOICE MEMOS
Constantly misplacing your notes or trying to deceiver
your handwriting? Stop wasting valuable minutes! Use
a system that may work better for you by employing a
tape recorder or the voice memo tool on your smart
phone. Some of the most brilliant marketing
professionals that I know use this method for easy
recall.  
10. DO NOT DISTURB!
Did you know that any new smart phones allow you to
set/schedule a "do not disturb" mode, where calls and
notifications are silenced? This is such a handy feature
when you have a big deadline approaching and need
complete focus on the task at hand. 
11.DRINKMOREWATER
Staying hydrated is not just important for getting stuff done,
it is vital to your productivity. Drinking water also forces you
to actually get up and take a break to refill your glass/bottle.
Now that's healthy multi­tasking! 
12. De-clutter
YOUR DESK
Clutter can have a negative impact on you both physically
and mentally. Beyond the risk of paper cuts, clutter adds
unnecessary stimuli into your environment that causes your
mind to work much harder to process it all. Get rid of clutter
for an instant boost in your productivity. 
13. Employ Backup
Tired of trying to keep track of a million different
passwords? There are some great apps, like "LastPass"
that will store all of your passwords for you so you never
have to waste time clicking "forgot my password" ever
again! Download the app at: https://lastpass.com
14.Makebadhabits
moreinconvenient
Some of our worst habits exist because of
inconvenience. Constantly hitting that snooze button? 
Put your phone on the other side of the room so that you
have to get out of bed to turn it off. You'll be much happier
when you don't have to race out the door in the morning!

15. UNSUBSCRIBE TO
This is one super easy hack to pull off. Clean up your inbox
by unsubscribing to newsletters that are taking up space in
your inbox, so that you can actually focus on important
emails that need an immediate response. 
16. retire marathon mode
Most importantly, prevent burnout by working in sprints of
brilliance, rather than a non­stop marathon mode. Take
care of yourself so that you can take care of business!
