Several organizations have tried to replace the Manual testing with the Test Automation tools. While they did reap its benefits, most also encountered a few roadblocks. A major disadvantage to record and playback is that the test has hard coded values and cannot cope with the small changes in the application responses. Hence, this approach has appeal for demonstrating examples of automation, but will not produce a scaleable or maintainable test automation solution.

Appliance Warehouse Service Plan.
The discussion focuses on the appliance Warehouse Service Plan that is made up of the testing plan, an implementation plan and the training plan for the sake of the bettering of services in a warehouse. The testing plan is meant to manage the systems through QA standards meeting the needs of the customers. The implementation plan elaborates and indicates whether one should use parallel, direct, phased, or pilot changeover strategies. The training plan, on the other hand, indicates what a training plan would include for affected employees, such as appointment setters, technicians, management, and the parts department.
Testing Plan
The main reason for the testing plan is to validate and verify the information from the main source or the end to end target warehouse. The two major testing plans for include program testing and acceptance testing (Lewis, 2017). The plan should verify the following, the business required documents, ETL design for the documents, sources to target on the mapping process and the data model for the source and the target schemas. The documents that are considered are meant for the ETL development process in the testing plan. The testing plan is meant further for the supervisors or the quality analysis team to confirm that the work is concerning the objective of the organization. The process of testing might also include the configuration management system and the data quality validation and verification process.
Implementation Plan
The plan for the implementation of the systems is the same as the process that is considered during the development process of the entire system to meet the goals of the organization. The steps to consider for the whole plan of the implementation include the analysis and the enhancement requests, the writing of very simplified and new programs, restructuring of the database, analysis of the program library and its cost, and the reengineering of the test program. The first phase parallels the analysis phase as the parallel strategy is considered for the entire process, which entails the analysis phase of the SDLC. The steps two to four process entails the combining and the construction activities that are done on a new system majorly on a small scale. The last step is meant to parallel the testing that is commonly done during the implementation process. The testing process ensures that the process is free of risk as a quality assurance process (Liang & Hui, 2016).
Training Plan
The training plan should be made up of a training matrix in which it will guide them to know who needs the training what they need from the training and why they want the training not forgetting when they need the training(Kwak,2016). The matrix will allow for the planning and the preparation for the training avoiding scrambling when the due date for the training comes around. Everything You Need to Know About Regression Testing Automation.pdfRohitBhandari66
As software applications grow larger and more complex, comprehensive regression testing is essential to ensure existing functionality remains intact through ongoing enhancements and fixes. But lengthy manual testing efforts struggle to keep up with accelerating release cycles. This is where regression testing automation delivers game-changing benefits. Automating regression tests provides fast feedback on code changes, expands test coverage, and improves software quality.
At SQA Solution the objectives of SAP System Testing are to verify that the installed system, which includes the SAP software, custom code and manual procedures, perform per business requirements:
Executes as specified and without error.
Validates with the users and management that the delivered system performs in accordance with the stated system requirements.
Ensures that the system works with other existing systems, including but not limited to interfaces, conversions, and reports.
Test case prioritization techniques schedule test cases for execution in an order that attempts to increase their effectiveness in meeting some performance goal. Various goals are possible; one involves rate of fault detection | a measure of how quickly faults are detected within the testing process. An improved rate of fault detection during testing can provide faster feedback on the system under test, and let software engineers begin correcting faults earlier than might otherwise be possible.
The functional or requirement specifications help define what QA engineers consider acceptable while running functional tests. These specifications are a document that tells the QA engineers what actions they must take to determine the conformance of the software system. This document can also ask them to run tests on specific business side scenarios for an overall system picture.
Hence, we understand that QA engineers can carry out functional testing in two ways:
- Requirements-based functional testing: This method contains instructions on validating the software system's functional aspects.
- Business scenarios-based functional testing: This method contains instructions on validating the software system based on business scenarios.
Functional testing is software testing that ensures a software system works according to its given specifications. This test's primary goal is to test the functional aspects of the application's software by providing the input and verifying the output based on requirements.
This test does not concern itself with the application's source code and mainly involves black box testing. It checks the APIs, security, client/server communication, database, UI, and other application functionalities. Testers can run functional tests either by using automation or manually.
What do you test in Functional Testing?
Testers primarily run functional testing to check the software system's functionalities. The areas this testing concentrates on are:
- Accessibility: Runs accessibility checks on the system to see if it meets accessibility requirements.
- Error Conditions: Whenever there is an error, the system usually provides a valuable error message. This test validates that your system works well and provides the appropriate error messages to debug.
- Mainline functions: The system has no value if its main functions do not work well. This testing runs to ensure this does not happen.
- Basic Usability: The test runs a usability test to ensure that users navigating your system can do so seamlessly.
The Different Functional Testing Types
- Unit Testing
- Smoke Tests
- Sanity Tests
- Regression Tests
- Integration Tests
- Usability Testing
Functional testing generally follows the steps mentioned below:
- Determine which aspect of the software system the testers need to test. These aspects or functionalities can vary from error conditions, product usability, messages, or central functions.
- Create input data according to specific requirements for the functionalities that need testing.
- Based on the outlined requirements, determine which output parameters are acceptable and which ones are not.
- Execute test cases.
- Finally, compare the expected output with the actual result you receive from the test. Tracking this will reveal if your software system works well.

Primer on application_performance_testing_v0.2Trevor Warren
This presentation focuses on the basics of Performance Testing. It talks about the processes, challenges and activities involved with Performance Testing.
Digitize your repetitive development processes to gain additional productivity and improve quality and costs.
Your Challenge
IT is increasingly under pressure to release applications quickly, reduce development, operations, and maintenance costs, while remaining relevant to business objectives.
Using a purely manual software development process can be useful when starting out and processes are not yet concrete. At a certain point, you will hit scalability limits around traceability and throughput. This will affect overall product quality.
Tests will increase over time as applications become larger and more complex, causing testing capacities to reach an upper bound slowing testing throughout. The urgency of release to market means a product may not be fully tested.
Our Advice
Critical Insight
Focus on instrumentation and integration when implementing your automated application development (AAD) tools to reduce maintenance costs, increase product quality, and improve project productivity. Instrumentation focuses on your tool’s execution, and integration refers to the movement and acceptance of development artifacts.
Don't try to automate if you don't have a good foundation based on quality and traceability first. Otherwise automation will make matters worse by amplifying gaps in your foundation. Assess your current development process for people, process, and technology gaps before deciding to implement AAD.
Impact and Result
Realize significant savings over time by reducing repetitive effort devoted to developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining applications.
Free up time to proactively optimize processes and tools or to take on innovation projects to help boost business initiatives. Innovation, a historically nice-to-have, can now be an integrated part of IT directives and mantras.
IT and the business can accurately measure the success of the development, testing, and deployment of the application to determine the need for future optimization projects to further reduce costs and improve productivity.

In software engineering, the right architecture is essential for robust, scalable platforms. Wix has undergone a pivotal shift from event sourcing to a CRUD-based model for its microservices. This talk will chart the course of this pivotal journey.
Event sourcing, which records state changes as immutable events, provided robust auditing and "time travel" debugging for Wix Stores' microservices. Despite its benefits, the complexity it introduced in state management slowed development. Wix responded by adopting a simpler, unified CRUD model. This talk will explore the challenges of event sourcing and the advantages of Wix's new "CRUD on steroids" approach, which streamlines API integration and domain event management while preserving data integrity and system resilience.
Participants will gain valuable insights into Wix's strategies for ensuring atomicity in database updates and event production, as well as caching, materialization, and performance optimization techniques within a distributed system.
Join us to discover how Wix has mastered the art of balancing simplicity and extensibility, and learn how the re-adoption of the modest CRUD has turbocharged their development velocity, resilience, and scalability in a high-growth environment.

Climate Science Flows: Enabling Petabyte-Scale Climate Analysis with the Eart...Globus
The Earth System Grid Federation (ESGF) is a global network of data servers that archives and distributes the planet’s largest collection of Earth system model output for thousands of climate and environmental scientists worldwide. Many of these petabyte-scale data archives are located in proximity to large high-performance computing (HPC) or cloud computing resources, but the primary workflow for data users consists of transferring data, and applying computations on a different system. As a part of the ESGF 2.0 US project (funded by the United States Department of Energy Office of Science), we developed pre-defined data workflows, which can be run on-demand, capable of applying many data reduction and data analysis to the large ESGF data archives, transferring only the resultant analysis (ex. visualizations, smaller data files). In this talk, we will showcase a few of these workflows, highlighting how Globus Flows can be used for petabyte-scale climate analysis.

How to Position Your Globus Data Portal for Success Ten Good PracticesGlobus
Science gateways allow science and engineering communities to access shared data, software, computing services, and instruments. Science gateways have gained a lot of traction in the last twenty years, as evidenced by projects such as the Science Gateways Community Institute (SGCI) and the Center of Excellence on Science Gateways (SGX3) in the US, The Australian Research Data Commons (ARDC) and its platforms in Australia, and the projects around Virtual Research Environments in Europe. A few mature frameworks have evolved with their different strengths and foci and have been taken up by a larger community such as the Globus Data Portal, Hubzero, Tapis, and Galaxy. However, even when gateways are built on successful frameworks, they continue to face the challenges of ongoing maintenance costs and how to meet the ever-expanding needs of the community they serve with enhanced features. It is not uncommon that gateways with compelling use cases are nonetheless unable to get past the prototype phase and become a full production service, or if they do, they don't survive more than a couple of years. While there is no guaranteed pathway to success, it seems likely that for any gateway there is a need for a strong community and/or solid funding streams to create and sustain its success. With over twenty years of examples to draw from, this presentation goes into detail for ten factors common to successful and enduring gateways that effectively serve as best practices for any new or developing gateway.

The primary outcome of this partnership includes the development of a prototype enterprise repository, driven by USGS Data Release requirements, through exploration and implementation of the entire suite of the Globus platform offerings, including Globus Flow, Globus Auth, Globus Transfer, and Globus Search. This presentation will provide insights into this research partnership, introduce the unique requirements and challenges being addressed and provide relevant project progress.
SOCRadar Research Team: Latest Activities of IntelBrokerSOCRadar
The European Union Agency for Law Enforcement Cooperation (Europol) has suffered an alleged data breach after a notorious threat actor claimed to have exfiltrated data from its systems. Infamous data leaker IntelBroker posted on the even more infamous BreachForums hacking forum, saying that Europol suffered a data breach this month.
The alleged breach affected Europol agencies CCSE, EC3, Europol Platform for Experts, Law Enforcement Forum, and SIRIUS. Infiltration of these entities can disrupt ongoing investigations and compromise sensitive intelligence shared among international law enforcement agencies.
However, this is neither the first nor the last activity of IntekBroker. We have compiled for you what happened in the last few days. To track such hacker activities on dark web sources like hacker forums, private Telegram channels, and other hidden platforms where cyber threats often originate, you can check SOCRadar’s Dark Web News.

Best ERP Testing Practices for Large Organizations
1. Best ERP Testing Practices
for Large Organizations .
Technical White Paper
2. Have you ever given thought as to why serious software failures
occur after go-live, even though the vendor who developed
the application insists on it being tested hundred times?
According to leading IT research firms, critical enterprise
packaged applications like SAP, Oracle and Microsoft impact
a broad set of stakeholders. Coordinated testing across this
group is a critical requirement in the application launch plan,
but many miss the mark when planning for these mega
critical projects. The reason why many packaged application
implementation projects fail is improper test planning and
execution.
Packaged enterprise applications are mission-critical and with
now steady shift to cloud, it has become absolutely vital to
monitor the applications with regular QA checks. This also
demands for the QA best practices to be followed to manage
these large scale mission-critical applications. Testing on ERP
packaged application systems is normally conducted during
deployment and continues even after going live.
Best Practices in ERP Testing
While testing large scale packaged applications, best results are achieved with a holistic approach. Such testing encompasses
many departments within the company, and many modules.
Before getting into ERP packaged application testing, the testing professionals need to understand the concepts, processes,
strategies, and the criticalities of ERP packaged application testing.
Let us look at some of the best practices of ERP packaged application testing that include doing everything right from test
planning to generating test reports.
Providing data for ERP packaged application testing activities
There are four main challenges with respect to the provision of test data for automated ERP packaged application testing–
system test data supply, system test data stability, system test data co-relation, and test data management.
• Test data supply:
ERP testing normally demands the insertion of common test data to the system during test preparation.
• Test data stability:
Use the system data access rules to prevent alteration of common test data.
• Test data co-relation:
The relationship between system data and input data needs to be observed.
• Test data management:
A test data management system provides the capability to correlate and analyze test results from several groups at
different locations and time zones to quickly access and assess the information they need.
Define test goals and select appropriate tests
By thoroughly defining and creating primary testing goals we can clearly determine that a particular type of testing that is
required and the resources needed to execute in a certain time frame.
• Define objectives to meet test goal:
Analyze the requirements, decide the type of testing needed, set the testing goals, and define the objectives that will
help you achieve your goals on time.
• Identify test cases:
Identify all the test cases for the different types of tests to be performed, and then generate the test cases covering the
entire testing scope.
