What is Architecture?
Architecture is the art or practice of designing
and constructing buildings. With the ever-
growing demand for buildings, whether it be
for commercial, institutional or residential
purpose, architecture is playing a very
important role in shaping and transforming
society.
With the boundaries of urbanism expanding,
the role of an architect will continue to be
relevant and important in times to come.

in the student and nurture talent
to design meaningful
architecture.

About WSPA
WSPA is a new-generation architectural college. We impart
architectural education that is, first and foremost, rooted in the
understanding of the culture and environment; but which is
also technologically advanced. The course curriculum of each
semester is designed around a particular context (in and
outside NCR). Frequent study trips enable the student to
understand how CONTEXT helps shape up architecture.
WSPA is a constituent of the World University of Design (WUD)
India's first and only university dedicated to education in the
creative domain. The proposal is under process of approval of the
Private University Act of Government of Haryana. All degrees of
WUD will be UGC approved.
WSPA - Curriculum overview
Each semester is dedicated to a typical
context related study and exercises of all the
subjects are made to relate to the chosen
context.
With each semester the context changes
from urban village to town to city.
Idea is to expose the students to varied
complexities of human settlements so that
they can formulate their own principles of
design within the purview of that context.
Academic Resources
Library
WSPA maintains a library amply equipped with books,
journals subscribed magazine from all disciplines. The
reading area provides a good ambience for the students to
concentrate.
Labs & Workshops
It's the WSPA Workshops however where ideas take a
tangible form. With one of its prime focus being “learning
by doing”, WSPA maintains high quality workshops for
facilitating work of each of the schools.
There are workshops for carpentry & model making,
Ceramic and sculpture workshop with all relevant hand-
tools and power tools. plus climatology lab, surveying lab,
material museum and CAD room.
International Exposure
WSPA contemplate international exposure as a quintessential part of
architecture education and intends to provide abundant
opportunities to its students to explore and experience the various
nuances of this facet of education. Such exposure enhances a
students' personality and broadens the vision.
WSPA is drawing up plans of signing MoUs with leading educational
institutions across the globe to facilitate a constant exchange of
students, scholars, research topics on every subject; of students
making study visits and joining immersion programmes at these
universities and organizations on a short term or periodic basis to
enhance their skills and their expertise.
Cultural/Social Activities
WSPA acknowledges diversity in the origin of its members and the
importance of cultural & social activities in improving the
personality, enhancing communication skills and building a positive,
progressive global outlook. It strongly encourages its students to
participate actively in various activity clubs like Film Club, Sports
Club, Performing arts club, Music and Dance club etc. The students
organize literary, cultural and social events such as Sports meet,
annual fest, etc to forge stronger bonds and to bring out their latent
talent in these activities.
Eligibility for Admission
Admission in Architecture is based on performance in National
Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA). NATA is conducted by the
Council of Architecture (COA) for admission to first year of 5 year B.
Arch Degree course at all recognized institutions all over the
country.
NATA 2017 ENTRANCE EXAM PATTERN
It consists of one paper only
• First 90 minutes (MCQ)
 Mathematics - 30 MCQ - 60 marks
 General Aptitude - 30 MCQ - 60 marks .
• Last 90 Minutes
 Drawing (Two Sets) in A4 Size Paper – 2 Qs x 40 = 80 marks.
Admission
Process
Admission to the Architecture programme will
be on the basis of marks obtained in the
qualifying examination and in the National
Aptitude Test for Architecture (NATA) as
prescribed by the Council of Architecture.
Candidates must submit their application along
with a copy of their 10+2 marks card and NATA
score card.

  • 5. WSPA - Curriculum overview Each semester is dedicated to a typical context related study and exercises of all the subjects are made to relate to the chosen context. With each semester the context changes from urban village to town to city. Idea is to expose the students to varied complexities of human settlements so that they can formulate their own principles of design within the purview of that context.
  • 6. Academic Resources Library WSPA maintains a library amply equipped with books, journals subscribed magazine from all disciplines. The reading area provides a good ambience for the students to concentrate. Labs & Workshops It's the WSPA Workshops however where ideas take a tangible form. With one of its prime focus being “learning by doing”, WSPA maintains high quality workshops for facilitating work of each of the schools. There are workshops for carpentry & model making, Ceramic and sculpture workshop with all relevant hand- tools and power tools. plus climatology lab, surveying lab, material museum and CAD room.

International Exposure WSPA contemplate international exposure as a quintessential part of architecture education and intends to provide abundant opportunities to its students to explore and experience the various nuances of this facet of education. Such exposure enhances a students' personality and broadens the vision. WSPA is drawing up plans of signing MoUs with leading educational institutions across the globe to facilitate a constant exchange of students, scholars, research topics on every subject; of students making study visits and joining immersion programmes at these universities and organizations on a short term or periodic basis to enhance their skills and their expertise. Cultural/Social Activities WSPA acknowledges diversity in the origin of its members and the importance of cultural & social activities in improving the personality, enhancing communication skills and building a positive, progressive global outlook. It strongly encourages its students to participate actively in various activity clubs like Film Club, Sports Club, Performing arts club, Music and Dance club etc. The students organize literary, cultural and social events such as Sports meet, annual fest, etc to forge stronger bonds and to bring out their latent talent in these activities.
  • 8. Eligibility for Admission Admission in Architecture is based on performance in National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA). NATA is conducted by the Council of Architecture (COA) for admission to first year of 5 year B. Arch Degree course at all recognized institutions all over the country. NATA 2017 ENTRANCE EXAM PATTERN It consists of one paper only • First 90 minutes (MCQ)  Mathematics - 30 MCQ - 60 marks  General Aptitude - 30 MCQ - 60 marks . • Last 90 Minutes  Drawing (Two Sets) in A4 Size Paper – 2 Qs x 40 = 80 marks.

Admission Process Admission to the Architecture programme will be on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination and in the National Aptitude Test for Architecture (NATA) as prescribed by the Council of Architecture.
