A record number of 220 PALS Leaders were trained this academic year, with 8 new subject areas joining the program. Planning training sessions takes at least six months with help from learning developers and LSW staff. First year students were recruited at welcome parties and induction sessions, and new PALS Leaders embraced the CEP program enthusiastically. Four Plymouth PALS Leaders attended the UK & Ireland PASS/PALS Leader Conference in Bath along with 100 other students, where they presented a poster on the PALS Leader and student journey and networked with other attendees.

The programme was of an extremely high calibre with an excellent range of speakers, sessions, workshops as well as the Reception and Gala Dinner. From an administrative standpoint, in the COBIS head office we were extremely grateful for the efficiency, careful planning, excellent communication, and attention to detail from the team at British Embassy School Ankara. In addition to yourself, Katie Vincent and all the staff at BESA who were involved deserve recognition and praise for their significant expertise, enthusiasm and dedication, without which, this event would not have been such a success.
