Belief in Islam is based on faith in one God, Allah, who is the creator of all things in the universe and all prophets including Adam, Abraham, Buddha, Moses, and Jesus. Allah created humans, animals, plants, minerals, and all other things seen and unseen. It is this one God that Muslims must believe in, trust, worship, and ask for help. The Quran teaches that Allah is the greatest and most powerful being capable of anything merely by saying "Be!". Muslims are promised forgiveness and paradise if they believe in the oneness of Allah and do righteous deeds. The fundamental Islamic creed is that there is no God but Allah and Muhammad is his messenger.
