18. Future Time Phrases
We can use 'will' or 'going to' with the time prepositions 'in', 'on' or
'at. We understand that we are talking about a time in the future
because we are using a future tense.
I am going to visit my grandmother in spring.
She is going to fly to Russia at New Year.
We are going to play football on Sunday.

19. When we learned about past time phrases, we learned
that we can use 'last' to talk about the previous time
something happened. In the future, we use 'next’.
I am going to visit my grandmother next weekend.
She is going to fly to Russia next year.

20. Note that we do not say 'next day'. We use the word
'tomorrow'. We can also use the phrase 'the day after
tomorrow’.
We do not use a preposition with 'tomorrow’.
Today is Monday. Tomorrow will be Tuesday.
The day after tomorrow will be Wednesday.

21. When we learned about past time phrases, we learned that we
can use 'ago' to say how long before now something
happened.
In the future, we use 'in' + a period of time.
We are going to play football in three hours. (Three hours
in the future)
He is going to start university in two months. (Two
months in the future)
