Before I start with the training, first, I would like to say a prayer.
Father God, I just want to lift you up today! You are so good Father and your love endures forever. Thank you, for this time and the opportunity to share this kind of training to those who really need it. Maraming Salamat sa lahat ng ginagawa mo para sa amin. Thank you for always being an amazing Father who looks after all of His children individually. Thank you for your love, grace and mercy. Maraming maraming Salamat din dahil despite sa pandemic, we can still connect with each other through technology. Thank you for the gifts and talents that you have given us. Thank you, I ask this in Jesus name I pray, Amen.
Magandang hapon po sa ating lahat. Today, we’re going to learn how to become a virtual professional. This is a free training that will last for an hour or two so buckle your seatbelt and let’s start.
Ano ba itong virtual professional na ito?
Ngayon we are into transition from community quarantine to new normal. Maraming nawalan ng trabaho. No work, no pay yung iba. Sa Moog, 500 employees yung naretrenched. Walang masakyan kung papasok ka sa trabaho. Paano na? Nakakalungkot yung nangyayari ngayon but don’t worry. Sabi nga nila, in every problem, there’s always a solution. In this training, you will learn how to become a virtual professional and be equipped to work as one.
1. SA ONLINE WORLD ANG RESUME KAILANGANG MODERN NA DIN. VERY COMPETITIVE NA ANG MGA APPLICANTS. PABONGGAHAN NA SILA! KUNG AYAW MONG MAHULI, IUPDATE MO NA ANG IYUNG RESUME.
PWEDE KAYONG GUMAWA SA CANVA.COM NG RESUME MO. THERE’S A LOT OF SAMPLES AND READY-MADE TEMPLATES THAT YOU CAN USE AS A START.
I used canva sa resume k. you can use any type, yung iba they make a video of their resume, others more of a portfolio type and so on.
2. Write a killer cover letter.
Aside from the resume, your cover letter makes all the difference in your remote job application.
Make a unique greeting. Wag masyadong seryoso. DO NOT USE these opening lines such as “Dear Hiring Manager”, “Dear Sir/Madam”, “To whom it may concern”. INSTEAD, YOU CAN USE: Hi there, Hey Tony! Hi Ben, how’s it going?
Avoid sending out a template to all potential clients. i-Customize mo naman yung cover letter mo for each company you’re applying to, highlight your qualifications and skills that match what they’re looking for. Don’t forget to proofread it well!
Also Understand the client’s job requirements.
Many remote workers get disappointed after getting hired just because their expectations aren’t met. Make sure to understand the job description and requirements before you hit the “Apply Now” button.
3. Prepare for ONLINE EXAMS:
Medyo madugo ito but it’s a need para tumaas ang profile rating mo. I think upwork removed their IQ tests but onlinejobs.ph still requires it including grammar and disc personality.
4. Online interview. You need to Ace your online job interviews.
Dress professionally, be confident and punctual, and smile!
The more skills , the better.
Don’t forget to attach your resume, sample works, and cover letter properly.
Once interested clients respond, they’ll ask you to go through online exams and interviews, usually via Skype.
