Sam Wallace, a six-year old boy, filmed various beach creatures during a visit to his father's friend's beach house in Portarlington, Victoria. He documented black swans grooming and looking for food, small swallows flying and walking around, baby mussels and a sea urchin with a fish eating part of the urchin, seaweed and seagrass which were considered animals enough to film, a starfish called Purply that he and his brother described, a small crab, seagulls flying and scavenging for food, a school of fish seen from the pier, a dead sea star found on the pier, and dangerous rock climbing and wildlife moments at Portarlington Pier.
