service

government
and
corporate
security
operations

commanding
special
operations
teams

Christmas
Island,
settling
significant
unrest

rioting

jurisdictions.

number

security

assessments

been
conducted
for
high
profile
events
such
as

Commonwealth

APEC

response

has
been
a
hallmark

ENHANCING
CAPABILITY
One
of
Steve’s
key
initiatives
whilst
leading
the
SVITZER
Salvage
organization
in
the
Australasia
region
was
the
establishment
of
a
robust
1
st
strike
maritime
emergency
response
container
in
the
remote
north-‐west
of
Australia.
This
specialist
response
container
now
provides
the
Pilbara
region
with
a
carefully
considered
24
hour
response
option
that
is
transportable
and
can
be
rapidly
deployed
to
an
incident:
saving
time
and
significantly
reducing
costs.
WORKSHOPS
In
2014
Steve
implemented
a
number
of
initiatives
after
identifying
a
significant
knowledge
gap
amongst
key
industry
stakeholders
who
were
at
risk
in
a
maritime
casualty
situation.
Workshops
were
delivered
in
New
Zealand
and
Australia
that
brought
together
industry
stakeholders
such
as:
Port
Authorities;
Government
bodies;
Insurers;
and,
ship
owners.
These
interactive
workshops
were
based
on
scenarios
drawn
from
actual
incidents.
This
resulted
in
the
workshops
being
practical,
highly
effective
and
well
received.
Training
and
workshops
have
been
prepared
for
clients
on
topics
such

Incident
Command

Control;
and,
hostile
environment
survival
training.
These
events
tests
the
thinking
and
decision
making
of
key
staff
and
prepares
them
for
actual

situations
