Bullying is unwanted aggressive behavior among school-aged children that is repeated over time. It can take various forms such as physical, verbal, social, electronic, racial, religious, sexual, or disability-based bullying. Bullying can cause depression, decreased academic achievement, and health complaints for victims. Bullies are more likely to engage in risky behaviors as adults such as substance abuse and criminal activity. Witnessing bullying can also negatively impact bystanders' mental health and school attendance.
