2. The logo
• Where possible the BBC logo should always
appear in black and White but in situations
where colour cannot be used it can appear
as a mono in the opposite colour arrangement
• The logo bold simple text will always appear and
never be transparent
• The only time the colour of the fore ground
would change is when it is a different channel
such as BBC news then the logo will appear red
3. Logo size
• The size of the logo will mostly never change
but we have chosen a minimum height of
8mm and we have chosen no maximum size
for our logo as it is not relevant to our viewing
of the logo

4. Logo positioning
• The logo will be placed in the top left hand
corner and will be placed a minimum of
15mm away from the side of the page
• When possible the logo will be placed directly
in the middle of the page to be the center of
attention and placed where it is most
noticeable
5. Logo isolation area
• The BBC logo should always be surrounded by
a minimum 10mm area of space. This area is a
minimum and should be increased wherever
possible.
• The area of isolation ensures that text or other
visual elements do not encroach on the logo.

6. Type colour
• Headlines should always appear in white
depending on the colour of background they
are sitting over.
• If the back ground is white then the front will
appear black on those section of the page
