1.) Reflect	on	your	day	so	far	–	think	about	the	sights,	sounds,	smells,	tastes,	and	feelings.	
2.) Create	a	list	of	sensory	details	for	each	of	the	senses	to	describe	your	day.	
3.) Sign	in	to	your	school	Google	account.	(See	posted	videos	and/or	class	packet	for	help!)	
4.) Open	Google	Docs	
5.) Choose	“Report/MLA”	(MLA	template)	
6.) Replace	the	template’s	text	with	your	information	(See	posted	videos	and/or	class	packet	for	help!)	
a. If	collaborating	with	peers,	include	all	names	in	your	MLA	heading

7.) Type	one	descriptive	paragraph	describing	your	day	using	the	CERT	model.	
	
a. Claim/topic	sentence	
b. Evidence/sensory	details	
c. Reasoning/conclusion	statement	
d. (No	transition	needed	since	you’re	only	writing	1	paragraph)

8.) Run	spell	check	
9.) Proofread	for	accuracy	in	content,	MLA	formatting,	and	CERT	formatting	
10.) Review	Avoiding	Plagiarism	(video	&	notes)	in	Blackboard.	Be	sure	all	work	is	original!	
11.) Click	Share,	type	in	Lauxman,	choose	me	(KLauxman@usd497.org)	then	click	Done.
