Barack Obama is the current 44th President of the United States, the first African American to hold the office. He was raised in Kansas and Hawaii by his mother and grandparents from various backgrounds. President Obama and his wife Michelle have two daughters and in 2012, he announced his support for same-sex marriage. During his first term, his administration ended the Iraq War, increased troops in Afghanistan, signed a nuclear arms treaty with Russia, intervened in Libya, and ordered the mission that killed Osama bin Laden.
