United Societies of Balkans (U.S.B.) is a non-profit founded in 2008 in Thessaloniki, Greece that promotes youth mobility and volunteerism. Their "Balkan Hot Spot" program hosts volunteers for 7 years running. Volunteers help maintain an e-radio, e-magazine, and library about Balkan culture. They receive training, housing, a stipend, and insurance. Volunteers work in shifts to organize events, documentaries, and discussions on social issues while developing skills and cultural exchange. Close cooperation between host and sending organizations ensures volunteers' educational and personal development goals are met.
