This document describes a laundry service called Tide University Laundry that universities can partner with to provide laundry services to students living on campus. It would allow students to outsource their laundry rather than doing it themselves, saving universities money on utility costs and freeing up space/time for students. The service involves students dropping off laundry to be washed/folded by local partners and picked up a few days later via an app. Universities would receive commission from the service and help with marketing/logistics while students gain free time and a unique amenity. Many universities have already partnered with this service.

- Tutors earn money from hourly sessions and optional "tips" from students, keeping 80-90% of earnings.
- The startup aims to launch initially in Austin, then expand nationally by fall through college ambassadors and targeted digital marketing.
- Revenue comes from a 10-12% platform fee on sessions and tips. Projections show the model could be highly profitable at scale.

Rental is a great option for students who do not want to own their textbooks.
Rental books can be written in, highlighted and used all semester long and students bring rental books back to the campus store after finals. In order to rent books, students must be 18 years of age, have a valid credit/debit card and have a government issued ID.
More than 50% of our titles are rentable and we add titles to our rental library each semester. Since our partnership began last July, students have saved over $60,800 by renting books with the campus store.
Used book purchase prices save students at least 25% off the price of a new book
At the end of each semester, students are able to sell back unwanted books to the campus store. The store will pay up to 50% of the purchase price for a book that is being used again in the next coming semester.
Since our partnership began in July 2016, students have saved over $18, 600 by purchasing used books and the campus store has paid out over $15,800 in buyback funds to students
