This document discusses the lifespan of Australian Cattle Dogs. Based on a study of 11 deceased dogs, the median lifespan is 11.7 years with a maximum of 15.9 years, which is typical for a breed of similar size. The leading causes of death were cancer (27%) and cerebral vascular stroke (27%). There is an unverified report of one Australian Cattle Dog living to 29.5 years old.
