In part-2 of this message we discover the nature of God's redemptive work. We understand that in His redemptive work in us, He not only restores us to our former state, but elevates us to a realm far greater than the beginning.

Re-routing to joy path #8 is through suffering. It strikes every one of us, somehow, some way. Yet, our redemptive God uses even the very worst that happens to us to bring us, eventually, to a kind of joy that nothing else will produce! Though it is painful, it brings us back to God in a way that nothing else can.

Renewed in Grace
In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.
Homily: The Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity Sunday 2024.docxJames Knipper
Countless volumes have been written trying to explain the mystery of three persons in one true God, leaving us to resort to metaphors such as the three-leaf clover to try to comprehend the Divinity. Many of us grew up with the quintessential pyramidal Trinity structure of God at the top and Son and Spirit in opposite corners. But what if we looked at this ‘mystery’ from a different perspective? What if we shifted our language of God as a being towards the concept of God as love? What if we focused more on the relationship within the Trinity versus the persons of the Trinity? What if stopped looking at God as a noun…and instead considered God as a verb? Check it out…
3. CALL TO WORSHIP
“Still other seed fell on good soil. It
came up and yielded a crop, a hundred
times more than was sown,” When He
said this, He called out, “He who has ears
to hear, let him hear,”
But the seed on good soil stands for
those with a noble and good heart, who
hear the word, retain it, and by
persevering produce a crop.
LUKE 8: 8, 15

25. Job1: 1 In the land of Uz there lived a man whose name
was Job. This man was blameless and upright; he feared
God and shunned evil. 2
He had seven sons and three
daughters, 3
and he owned seven thousand sheep, three
thousand camels, five hundred yoke of oxen and five
hundred donkeys, and had a large number of
servants. He was the greatest man among all the people
of the East.
4
His sons used to hold feasts in their homes on their
birthdays, and they would invite their three sisters to eat
and drink with them. 5
When a period of feasting had run
its course, Job would make arrangements for them to be
purified. Early in the morning he would sacrifice a burnt
offering for each of them, thinking, “Perhaps my
children have sinned and cursed God in their hearts.”
This was Job’s regular custom. >>>>

Then the LORD said to
Satan, “Have you considered
my servant Job? There is no
one on earth like him; he is
blameless and upright, a
man who fears God and
shuns evil.” >>>>
27. 12
The LORD said to Satan,
“Very well, then, everything
he has is in your power, but
on the man himself do not
lay a finger.” Then Satan
went out from the
presence of the LORD.>>>>>

One day when Job’s sons and

wine at the oldest brother’s house, 14
a
messenger came to Job and said, “The
oxen were plowing and the donkeys
were grazing nearby,15
and the
Sabeans attacked and made off with
them. They put the servants to the
sword, and I am the only one who has
escaped to tell you!”>>>>>

31. Job 42: 7
After the LORD had said these things to
Job, he said to Eliphaz the Temanite, “I am angry
with you and your two friends, because you have
not spoken the truth about me, as my servant Job
has. 8
So now take seven bulls and seven rams and
go to my servant Job and sacrifice a burnt

for you, and I will accept his prayer and not deal
with you according to your folly. You have not
spoken the truth about me, as my servant Job

32. Job 42: 10
After Job had prayed for his
friends, the LORD restored his
fortunes and gave him twice as much as
he had before. 11
All his brothers and
sisters and everyone who had known
him before came and ate with him in his
house. They comforted and consoled him
over all the trouble the LORD had
brought on him, and each one gave him a
piece of silver and a gold ring.>>>>>
33. Job 42: 12
The LORD blessed the latter
part of Job’s life more than the former
part. He had fourteen thousand sheep,
six thousand camels, a thousand yoke
of oxen and a thousand donkeys. 13
And
he also had seven sons and three
daughters. 14
The first daughter he

Nowhere in all the land were
there found women as beautiful as

granted them an inheritance along

After this, Job lived a hundred and

And so Job died, an old
man and full of years.>>>>>
