The document introduces the Attack Goal-Planning System (AGPS) as a tool to help athletes achieve their goals and dreams. It outlines a 4-step process: 1) Define your goals, 2) Plan your training, 3) Emotionally connect to your goals, and 4) Evaluate and adjust. The AGPS guides athletes through worksheets and templates to establish specific, measurable goals and create training plans. It emphasizes focusing on controllable factors, repetitive mental preparation, and staying motivated through challenging periods. The overall goal of the AGPS is to equip athletes with a structured process for accomplishing their ambitions through hard work and dedication.

Effective concurrent training program that focuses on the main 3 power movements: the squat, deadlift and bench press. It is designed to help build immense gains in strength and size. Program emphasizes training smarter and not harder. The primary power movement will take up half of your workout, while the accessory movements will be used to pump the muscle and help give you that clean and dense look.

of achieving. The AGPS was designed to provide aspiring, serious athletes with the stepping
stones for achieving their goals and dreams! What does the AGPS do?
The AGPS takes athletes from establishing goals to Designing a Personal…

“THE ATTACK GOAL-PLANNING SYSTEM WILL EQUIP YOU WITH THE TOOLS FOR
SUCCESSFULLY ACHIEVING YOUR GOALS!”
All YOU need is the vision, courage and discipline to follow through. Remember, The time to be
at your BEST is right NOW! The time to set forth on a personal journey of success and how it
relates to your goals and dreams.... Is TODAY! So get excited! You're about to take a trip that
will lead you to the achievement of your goals & dreams. So let's get after YOUR goals and
dreams! Let's make it an all out assault on the success you DESIRE to ACHIEVE!
"TURNING YOUR GOALS & DREAMS INTO REALITY!"
3. Step 1Step 1:: DDeefine your Gfine your Goal(s)oal(s)
Below write down the 3 most important goals you
must achieve by the end of next season.
Goal #1:
_______________________________________________________________________________
_______________________________________________________________________________
Goal #2:
_______________________________________________________________________________
_______________________________________________________________________________
Goal #3:
_______________________________________________________________________________
_______________________________________________________________________________
Now that you’ve written down the 3 most important goals – choose the one goal that would be
most meaningful for you to achieve – once you achieve it!
Goal #1:
_______________________________________________________________________________
_______________________________________________________________________________
What steps must you take in order to achieve this goal?
List the steps below – don’t worry about the order – just write them down as they come to your
mind:
4. Steps to goal achievement:
1. _____________________________________________________________________
2. _____________________________________________________________________
3. _____________________________________________________________________
4. _____________________________________________________________________
5. _____________________________________________________________________
6. _____________________________________________________________________
7. _____________________________________________________________________
8. _____________________________________________________________________
9. _____________________________________________________________________
10. _____________________________________________________________________
NOW, REVIEW YOUR LIST (ABOVE) AND CIRCLE THE “STEPS THAT YOU CONTROL”
IN REGARDS TO THE ACHIEVEMENT OF YOUR GOAL. FOR EXAMPLE: GOAL #1:
ACHIEVE 1ST
-TEAM ALL-STATE HONORS BY BEING VOTED AS MY STATES BEST PLAYER
IN MY POSITION!
5. “STEPS THAT YOU CONTROL:” (FROM ABOVE)
1. INCREASE SPEED AND AGILITY ON THE COURT.
2. INCREASE VERTICAL AT THE NET.
3. INCREASE BLOCK PERCENTAGE.
4. INCREASE UPPER BODY STRENGTH (SHOUL,DERS & TRICEPS)
• Numbers 1-4 are all examples of measurable steps that you control. You cannot, however,
control the level of talent you face – that is outside your control.
Key point #1:
Great athletes focus on the elements of competition that they control. (i.e., effort, mental focus,
execution of skills, etc.)
Key point #2:
Great athletes never waste time, emotion or energy on the elements of competition they don’t
control. (i.e., talent of your opponent/team, how big/tall/fast, schools they attend, shoes they
wear, etc.)
6. champions mindset:
“I will control the controllable’s and perform at my best everyday!”
Now eliminate any steps that you are not in control over – they have no power over
you and are useless to your success!
Take the “steps that you control” and make sure you can measure the progress as
you work to get better.
Key point #3:
Once a goal is set you have the starting point for success! Great athletes set &
define their goals!

7. Mental keys to Success:
Describe the “Attitude of a Champion.” WHAT must HE/SHE have IN ORDER to
achieve WORTHWHILE goals & DREAMS:
____________________________________________________________________
____________________________________________________________________
____________________________________________________________________
ONCE YOU’VE COMPLETED WRITING - FIND A PICTURE FROM A MAGAZINE OR
ONLINE THAT REPRESENTS YOUR “attitude OF a champion.” PLACE YOUR
PICTURE ABOVE and WHERE YOU CAN SEE IT EVERYDAY!
Now re-write your steps to goal achievement:
Steps to goal achievement:
1. _____________________________________________________________________
2. _____________________________________________________________________
3. _____________________________________________________________________
4. _____________________________________________________________________
5. _____________________________________________________________________
6. _____________________________________________________________________
7. _____________________________________________________________________
8. _____________________________________________________________________
9. _____________________________________________________________________
10. _____________________________________________________________________
• These will become your *process, *training and *performance goals!
8. Once you are done with writing down the steps needed to achieve your goal – your
next step is to re-write each step/goal (above) on a 3 X 5 or 4 x 6 index cards. You will
need 100 index cards to get started! Take these index cards and place them in areas
you visit frequently every day. For example: Your bedroom, the ‘fridge, bathroom,
computer room, etc. you need to establish as many “mental reps” as necessary to
tell your mind that these goals you’ve defined are serious and non-negotiable. In
other words, you must and will achieve them!
Key point #4:
Repetition is the mother of learning… so mentally prepare for expecting positive
success with the goal you have just defined!
StepStep 22:: Plan your TPlan your Training!raining!

10. Creating your own roadmap for success!
”Your dream determines your goals.
Your goals map out your actions.
Your actions create results.
And the results bring you success!’
- Dr. John C. Maxwell
Answer the following questions to develop your vision for success:
1. What do I have working for me? what are you’re three greatest strengths for
achieving your goal(s)?
_________________________________________________________________
_________________________________________________________________
_________________________________________________________________
2. What must I overcome? What three things that you can control stand between
you and the achievement of your goal(s)?
_________________________________________________________________
_________________________________________________________________
_________________________________________________________________
3. What will it cost to make the trip to achieving my goal(s)?
in time:________________________________________________________
in relationships:_____________________________________________
in comfort:___________________________________________________
Now you will begin to have a clearer picture of what’s important to you and what
you’re willing to give up in order to be successful in achieving your goal!
11. Champions Mindset:
“Athlete’s who reach their potential think in terms of improvement!”
“Do not let what you cannot do interfere with what you can do!”
-John Wooden
Former head basketball ucla
10-time national champions!
“you pay a price for getting stronger.
You pay a price for getting faster.
You pay a price for jumping higher .
But you also pay a price for staying the same!”
-H. Jackson rown

StepStep 33:: Emotionally CEmotionally Connect!onnect!
12. The Magic Question?
How do you get emotionally connected to your goals and dreams?
Simple! Are you ready? No, seriously are you ready?
There are two things you must do!
1. Fuel your desire! That’s right, “fuel your desire!”
2. Imagine! That’s right, “use your imagination”visualize your goal & dream
already achieved!
Key point #5:
A person does not expect the wood-burning stove to provide heat without the wood
necessary to create such heat!
Once your goals are defined, a plan is created and you become emotionally
connected - your goals take on a new life!
You now understand the “value” that comes with not only the achievement of
goals but the “pursuit” of goals as well!
13. Mental keys to Success:
Athlete’s must “whip-up” their goals into a healthy obsession!
Describe ways in which you can “keep the flames going” in relation to your desire to
achieve your stated goals. What can you DO to stay Motivated when the mundane
work MUST be completed day in and day out?
