5. Dear Friend of Sadie G. Mays Health & Rehabilitation Center,
On Wednesday, April 17, over 200 people participated in the SPARC Atlanta Health Clinic at Sadie G. Mays. SPARC -- Sickness
Prevention Achieved through Regional Collaboration-- is an initiative of the Fulton County Office of Aging and the Atlanta Regional
Commission. This was the first time that Sadie G. Mays was selected to host a SPARC Clinic. We sincerely thank everyone who
took part in this great ,community service event.
Attendees received immunizations, health information, assistance, healthy snacks and a variety of screenings, including blood
sugar, blood pressure, vision, Body Mass Index, HIV, healthy mind, clinical breast exams, chair massages, nutritional education,
women’s health education, colon health, and more.
Some of the organizations providing these valuable services and information
were Grady Hospital, Alzheimer’s Association,Council on Aging,, Innervision Neuromuscular Center,
Walmart Pharmacy and the Atlanta Regional Commission Area Agency on Aging. (See full listing below)
