*Outstanding original work will be considered for special awards. The
competition consists of two tracks. The first track is open to young scholars
who have received his/her PhD in the past five years,while the second trackis
for all other ranks.The total amount of available awards is 2 million Korean
Won, andthe number of selected papers and their cash prizes are subject to
change depending on the quality of full papers received. The chosen papers
must also be submitted to the Journal of Contemporary Eastern Asia for
publication. To be considered for this award, send your completed paper no
later than 1 October 2013 to Dr. Matthew Shapiro (matthew.shapiro@iit.edu),
and indicate clearly your desired track.
- 15 October 2013: Release of notifications of acceptance and rejection
*Journal of Knowledge and Social Development (Springer) has also expressed his
interest in publishing some of conference papers.
*Daegu Convention and Visitors Bureau is going to offer a sightseeing tour of Daegu
at no charge.

 All presenters must register by November 1, otherwise their names will be
deleted from the program.
 There will be a staff member who checks the registration at the conference.
 The registration fee does not cover lunch. It provides only the reception
dinner on Friday.
 Workshop Fee: 50,000 (This does not include materials.)
Workshop can be cancelled if the totalnumber of people who
register is less than 20. All the participants are supposed to bring
their own laptop computers.
