Writing tests first is a great way to design and ensure maintainability of code, but ATDD takes it a step further and brings our attention to the client's requirements. Pepino allows those client requirements to be turned into automated executable specifications that can be run over and over again.

DevOps is a state of art describing each software development step as a repeatable, automatable and deterministic process excluding error-prone human factor first time in the history of software development. The model defines the entire value chance from concept to concrete product. It is an evolutionary end for the models of software development and agile movement. But, there is a problem with the concept; though described easily, implemented a little hard.
DevOps Tactical Adoption Theory tries to make the transition process as smooth as possible. It hypothesis each step towards DevOps maturity should bring a visible business value empowering management and team commitment for the next step. The innovative idea here, it is not required to add the tools/processes to stack from sequential beginning to end, but seeking benefit.
The reason behind the theory is to encourage practitioners to apply each step one-by-one and then having the benefits in projects. Consequently, each step is tested in terms of utility and proved method validity for the further steps. In contrast to previous adoption models, our model indicates concrete activities rather than general statements.
Theory built on the claim that many DevOps transition projects considered problematic, impractical or even unsuccessful causing concept to become a goal more than a technique. Basically, theory consists of different areas of interest describing various actions on a schema.
In the session, it is planned to demonstrate “DevOps Tactical Adoption Theory” with focus on Delivery Pipeline/Testing Practices sectioned "Continuous Testing in DevOps".
Quality Jam: BDD, TDD and ATDD for the Enterprise
During Quality Jam 2016 I had the privilege of presenting with one of QASymphony's earliest customers, Better Cloud, on how methodologies like BDD, TDD and ATDD scale for the enterprises. Adam Satterfield is the VP of Quality Assurance at Bettercloud and has been in QA for many years; he has taught me a lot about Behavior Driven Development, Test Driven Development, Acceptance Test Driven Development. In the session we share a new way of testing-- what Adam and I believe to be the next generation of testing development.
We know that there are several ways to do testing and we are just showing one new way to do it - If this session doesn't inspire action, hopefully it will at least give you and your team something to think about.
Tdd blog
TDD is a development process where tests are written before code to improve software quality. It has two levels: acceptance TDD which writes tests for requirements and developer TDD which writes unit tests for detailed design. The goals of TDD are to have confidence in changes through frequent testing, reduce bugs in final delivery, and produce well-designed code. Problems can occur if requirements change and tests are not maintained, or if programmers think TDD wastes time rather than preventing bugs long-term.

zkStudyClub - LatticeFold: A Lattice-based Folding Scheme and its Application...
Folding is a recent technique for building efficient recursive SNARKs. Several elegant folding protocols have been proposed, such as Nova, Supernova, Hypernova, Protostar, and others. However, all of them rely on an additively homomorphic commitment scheme based on discrete log, and are therefore not post-quantum secure. In this work we present LatticeFold, the first lattice-based folding protocol based on the Module SIS problem. This folding protocol naturally leads to an efficient recursive lattice-based SNARK and an efficient PCD scheme. LatticeFold supports folding low-degree relations, such as R1CS, as well as high-degree relations, such as CCS. The key challenge is to construct a secure folding protocol that works with the Ajtai commitment scheme. The difficulty, is ensuring that extracted witnesses are low norm through many rounds of folding. We present a novel technique using the sumcheck protocol to ensure that extracted witnesses are always low norm no matter how many rounds of folding are used. Our evaluation of the final proof system suggests that it is as performant as Hypernova, while providing post-quantum security.

Apps Break Data
How information systems are built or acquired puts information, which is what they should be about, in a secondary place. Our language adapted accordingly, and we no longer talk about information systems but applications. Applications evolved in a way to break data into diverse fragments, tightly coupled with applications and expensive to integrate. The result is technical debt, which is re-paid by taking even bigger "loans", resulting in an ever-increasing technical debt. Dandelion Hashtable: beyond billion requests per second on a commodity server
This slide deck presents DLHT, a concurrent in-memory hashtable. Despite efforts to optimize hashtables, that go as far as sacrificing core functionality, state-of-the-art designs still incur multiple memory accesses per request and block request processing in three cases. First, most hashtables block while waiting for data to be retrieved from memory. Second, open-addressing designs, which represent the current state-of-the-art, either cannot free index slots on deletes or must block all requests to do so. Third, index resizes block every request until all objects are copied to the new index. Defying folklore wisdom, DLHT forgoes open-addressing and adopts a fully-featured and memory-aware closed-addressing design based on bounded cache-line-chaining. This design offers lock-free index operations and deletes that free slots instantly, (2) completes most requests with a single memory access, (3) utilizes software prefetching to hide memory latencies, and (4) employs a novel non-blocking and parallel resizing. In a commodity server and a memory-resident workload, DLHT surpasses 1.6B requests per second and provides 3.5x (12x) the throughput of the state-of-the-art closed-addressing (open-addressing) resizable hashtable on Gets (Deletes).
