This project aims to address the challenges facing American Indians or Native Americans especially the reasons for low higher education intake, retention and graduation of the Native Americans. Research has shown that many American Indians graduate from high school but few enroll to post-secondary education and retention until graduation is also affected. According to the National Education Association in 2000, 71% of American Indians Alaska Natives had a high school diploma but only 11% had bachelor’s degree compared to 27% of Whites (nea.org).
The number one goal of the project is to find out the barriers that contribute to the lower higher education intake, retention and graduation. Secondly to find out solutions to the barriers or problems. This will also sensitize education policy makers and the federal and state governments to initiate appropriate programs that would effectively address the higher education challenges faced by American Indians. And in turn the number of Native Americans graduating from college would increase and the living standards of the general population of Native Americans would be upgraded.
The information in the project report was research from internet sources that focused on looking for literature and findings from various articles. The research was based on the main challenges that affect American Indians’ chances of getting into college and completion of bachelor’s degree. One such article was by Harrington, C. and Harrington, B. (2012) titled “Fighting a Difference Battle: Challenges Facing American Indians in Higher Education. In the article they have given various recommendations to education advocates and the government. The second article was by Hunt and Harrington (2010) titled “The Impending Educational Crisis for American Indians: Higher Education at the Crossroads.” They focused on the various barriers that affect the America Indians higher education enrollment and graduation including lack of administrative support from college institutions and stereotyping of the minority group.

You will identify a current policy issue relevant to you, interview a key community
stakeholder that can speak to the issue, and write a final policy interview paper that describes
current social policies related to the issue, incorporates background research, and provides
recommendations for future policy and practice. The paper is worth a maximum of 100 points
and should be limited to 6-8 double-spaced, typewritten pages excluding the title page and
references. All papers are to be turned in via BeachBoard using the Dropbox feature. The
course calendar lists related due dates.

Address each of the points in the following outline. This outline should be used to
organize your paper. Explanations given below will be discussed further in class, and your essay
should be based on both.

The Purpose of your paper is to gain an in-depth understanding of an important issue
facing children and families today, and to understand how social policies in the United

Developing an emergency response plan is critical and requires considerable planning. The plan must be comprehensive to include, federal, state, local, and private sector resources. I think we can all agree that conducting a risk assessment in the forefront is perhaps the most important part of any emergency response plan. This sets the foundation for identifying risks and hazards that our response area could be exposed to. Planning, training, coordination and communication are equally as important. Planning helps us to outline how we would respond in kind to the incidents, risks and hazards that we identified in our risk assessment. Training ensures that each agency involved is on not only on the same page but understand their responsibilities once that plan is enacted. Coordination goes hand in hand with training, properly coordinated actions results in a well coordinated dance with everyone knowing their part. And communication, we cannot stress enough how important communication is because if we cannot properly transmit information in real time within the responding agencies, our plan is going to suffer and things could be missed.
The best way to ensure all of these steps are followed and the plan gets executed properly is simply to train on it quarterly as well as hold hot washes, an after action get together where what went right and what went wrong is discussed so that we can improve. Continuous training as well as constant communication is the only way we all get on the same page.

A successful emergency operations plan (EOP) requires cooperation and understanding from all groups and agencies involved. A major component of the EOP is the base plan. “The base plan: Contains the most comprehensive information about the community, its risks, its statutory authorities, and the general concept by which emergency operations are conducted (Haddow et al, 2021, p. 136). This is an important component because it lays out what the problem is, the risks or hazards it proposes, and who has what authority or roles and responsibilities for certain actions. This supports the idea that risk assessment is an important part of the EOP. Risk assessment can also be a great tool for inclusion and preparation of all supporting organizations. Including them in the risk assessment conversation will allow any uncertainty in the plan to be vocalized and help with better cohesion as the plan is implemented.

Identify the global societal issue you have chosen to research for your Final Paper, an argumentative essay, and explain why further research on this topic is important.
The issue I decide to talk about is lack of education. Education has not reached its peak due to change. Change is funny as it overwhelms people with different emotions. For instance, change can foster fear, happiness, doubt, uncertainty, acceptance, and love. Further study is required because “while nearly everyone engaged in the debate about schooling acknowledges that more resources is not a panacea (solution) the question is whether budgets can be expanded on specific items in a way that would increase the efficacy of schooling” (Pritchett, 2004, pg. 4, para. 1).

To be better prepared we need to improve our education infrastructure around the world. The fear of change has crippled us causing our education standards to decline. The reason change needs to happen is because we have become unaware, less knowledgeable, disconnect and less than human. Making higher education available for all would have caught this dilemma sooner, provided solutions using social justice, and replace fear with compassion and the will to act. Introduction
This project is an opportunity to discuss what you think should be the highest priority (national interest) in the future of American foreign policy. Completing this activity is a mandatory component of this course. It serves as the standard course assessment for all GOVT 2305 students. Failure to submit this project in its entirety will result in a failing grade for the course. There are three steps to completing this project.
Step 1: Identify the issue and how the US government is currently addressing it. Then, identify strategies that could be used to improve those efforts.
Step 2: Gather three scholarly research articles that address the issue you selected and offer suggestions for improvement.
Step 3: Prepare a formal policy memo for the President of the United States (POTUS). This is the only part of the project you will turn in.
The grading standards used to assess the quality of your work for this project will be detailed in a grading rubric, which will be provided during the semester.
It is strongly suggested that student read ahead and use the library database during the first week of the course to begin researching a topic. Step 2 - Gathering Sources
A. Find three high-quality reference materials (articles published in an academic journal) using the following criteria:

One of the very first cases that caught Freud’s attention when he was starting to develop his psychoanalytic theory was that of Anna O, a patient of fellow psychiatrist Josef Breuer. Although Freud did not directly treat her, he did thoroughly analyze her case as he was fascinated by the fact that her hysteria was “cured” by Breuer. It is her case that he believes was the beginning of the psychoanalytic approach.
Through your analysis of this case, you will not only look deeper into Freud’s psychoanalytic theory but also see how Jung’s neo-psychoanalytic theory compares and contrasts with Freud’s theory.

The Case of Anna O.
One of the first cases that inspired Freud in the development of what would eventually become the Psychoanalytic Theory was the case of Anna O. Anna O. was actually a patient of one of Freud’s colleagues Josef Breuer. Using Breuer’s case notes, Freud was able to analyze the key facts of Anna O’s case.
Anna O. first developed her symptoms while she was taking care of her very ill father with whom she was extremely close. Some of her initial symptoms were loss of appetite to the extent of not eating, weakness, anemia, and development a severe nervous cough. Eventually she developed a severe optic headache and lost the ability to move her head, which then progressed into paralysis of both arms. Her symptoms were not solely physical as she would vacillate between a normal, mental state and a manic-type state in which she would become extremely agitated. There was even a notation of a time for which she hallucinated that the ribbons in her hair were snakes.
Toward the end of her father’s life she stopped speaking her native language of German and instead only spoke in English. A little over a year after she began taking care of her father he passed away. After his passing her symptoms grew to affect her vision, a loss of ability to focus her attention, more extreme hallucinations, and a number of suicidal attempts (Hurst, 1982).
Both Freud and Jung would acknowledge that unconscious processes are at work in this woman's problems. However, they would come to different conclusions about the origin of these problems and the method by which she should be treated.

THE United States needed to eliminate Osama bin Laden to fulfill our sense of justice and, to a lesser extent, to end the myth of his invincibility. But dropping Bin Laden's corpse in the sea does not end the terrorist threat, nor does it remove the ideological motivation of Al Qaeda's supporters.
Often forgotten amid the ugly violence of Al Qaeda's attacks was that the terrorists' declared goal was to replace existing governments in the Muslim world with religiously pure Islamist states and eventually restore an Islamic caliphate. High on Al Qaeda's list of targets was Egypt's president, Hosni Mubarak. The protesters of Tahrir Square succeeded in removing him without terrorism and without Al Qaeda.
Thus, even before Bin Laden's death, analysts had begun to argue that Al Qaeda was rapidly becoming irrelevant. With Bin Laden's death, it is even more tempting to think that the era of Al Qaeda is over.
But such rejoicing would be premature. To many Islamist ideologues, the Arab Spring simply represents the removal of obstacles that stood in the way of establishing the caliphate. Their goal has not changed, nor has their willingness to use terrorism.
In the months ahead, Bin Laden's death may encourage Al Qaeda to stage an attack to counter the impression that it is out of business. The more significant threat, however, will come from Al Qaeda's local affiliates. I think we can all agree that conducting a risk assessment in the forefront is perhaps the most important part of any emergency response plan. This sets the foundation for identifying risks and hazards that our response area could be exposed to. Planning, training, coordination and communication are equally as important. Planning helps us to outline how we would respond in kind to the incidents, risks and hazards that we identified in our risk assessment. Training ensures that each agency involved is on not only on the same page but understand their responsibilities once that plan is enacted. Coordination goes hand in hand with training, properly coordinated actions results in a well coordinated dance with everyone knowing their part. And communication, we cannot stress enough how important communication is because if we cannot properly transmit information in real time within the responding agencies, our plan is going to suffer and things could be missed.
The best way to ensure all of these steps are followed and the plan gets executed properly is simply to train on it quarterly as well as hold hot washes, an after action get together where what went right and what went wrong is discussed so that we can improve. Continuous training as well as constant communication is the only way we all get on the same page.

A successful emergency operations plan (EOP) requires cooperation and understanding from all groups and agencies involved. A major component of the EOP is the base plan. “The base plan: Contains the most comprehensive information about the community, its risks, its statutory authorities, and the general concept by which emergency operations are conducted (Haddow et al, 2021, p. 136). This is an important component because it lays out what the problem is, the risks or hazards it proposes, and who has what authority or roles and responsibilities for certain actions. This supports the idea that risk assessment is an important part of the EOP. Risk assessment can also be a great tool for inclusion and preparation of all supporting organizations. Including them in the risk assessment conversation will allow any uncertainty in the plan to be vocalized and help with better cohesion as the plan is implemented.

Identify the global societal issue you have chosen to research for your Final Paper, an argumentative essay, and explain why further research on this topic is important.
The issue I decide to talk about is lack of education. Education has not reached its peak due to change. Change is funny as it overwhelms people with different emotions. For instance, change can foster fear, happiness, doubt, uncertainty, acceptance, and love. Further study is required because “while nearly everyone engaged in the debate about schooling acknowledges that more resources is not a panacea (solution) the question is whether budgets can be expanded on specific items in a way that would increase the efficacy of schooling” (Pritchett, 2004, pg. 4, para. 1).

Change is inevitable whether you like it or not, it will happen. It does matter if it is for the betterment of mankind or the destruction of humanity. To be better prepared we need to improve our education infrastructure around the world. The fear of change has crippled us causing our education standards to decline. The reason change needs to happen is because we have become unaware, less knowledgeable, disconnect and less than human. Making higher education available for all would have caught this dilemma sooner, provided solutions using social justice, and replace fear with compassion and the will to act. Introduction
This project is an opportunity to discuss what you think should be the highest priority (national interest) in the future of American foreign policy. Completing this activity is a mandatory component of this course. It serves as the standard course assessment for all GOVT 2305 students. Failure to submit this project in its entirety will result in a failing grade for the course. There are three steps to completing this project.
Step 1: Identify the issue and how the US government is currently addressing it. Then, identify strategies that could be used to improve those efforts.
Step 2: Gather three scholarly research articles that address the issue you selected and offer suggestions for improvement.
Step 3: Prepare a formal policy memo for the President of the United States (POTUS). This is the only part of the project you will turn in.
The grading standards used to assess the quality of your work for this project will be detailed in a grading rubric, which will be provided during the semester.
It is strongly suggested that student read ahead and use the library database during the first week of the course to begin researching a topic. This project requires carefully planning throughout the semester. Refer to the course calendar for the specific due date. The final product is to be submitted as a single file via the submission guidelines identified by the instructor.
Step 1 – Identifying the Issue
A. Throughout chapter 14 of the textbook, you will find traditional methods and core issues used to create the foreign policy agenda. Use this information as a starting point for identifying the subject of your own research.
B. Next, identify a single issue that you feel should be the highest priority in American foreign policy and specifically how the nation should go about pursuing that policy.
Step 2 - Gathering Sources
A. Find three high-quality reference materials (articles published in an academic journal) using the following criteria:
· The article must be no more than ten years old, a minimum of five pages in length, and should meet the standards of college level material.
· Carefully choose those works that provide a variety of perspectives on your topic.
· Newspaper articles, magazine articles, textbooks and items of the like are considered "supplemental sources" on the collegiate level and are not quality research materials.
· Dictionaries, Encyclopedias (including Wikipedia), Almanacs, or an Atlas are reference materials and should not be listed in any works cited page on the collegiate level.
· Properly document your sources in your memo and on a works cited page.
Step 3 – The Memo
A. Your paper should quickly explain how the President can take your advice and put it into action. He is a busy man, so keep it short and to the point.

One of the first cases that inspired Freud in the development of what would eventually become the Psychoanalytic Theory was the case of Anna O. Anna O. was actually a patient of one of Freud’s colleagues Josef Breuer. Using Breuer’s case notes, Freud was able to analyze the key facts of Anna O’s case.
Anna O. first developed her symptoms while she was taking care of her very ill father with whom she was extremely close. Some of her initial symptoms were loss of appetite to the extent of not eating, weakness, anemia, and development a severe nervous cough. Eventually she developed a severe optic headache and lost the ability to move her head, which then progressed into paralysis of both arms. Her symptoms were not solely physical as she would vacillate between a normal, mental state and a manic-type state in which she would become extremely agitated. There was even a notation of a time for which she hallucinated that the ribbons in her hair were snakes.
Toward the end of her father’s life she stopped speaking her native language of German and instead only spoke in English. A little over a year after she began taking care of her father he passed away. After his passing her symptoms grew to affect her vision, a loss of ability to focus her attention, more extreme hallucinations, and a number of suicidal attempts (Hurst, 1982).
Both Freud and Jung would acknowledge that unconscious processes are at work in this woman's problems. However, they would come to different conclusions about the origin of these problems and the method by which she should be treated.

THE United States needed to eliminate Osama bin Laden to fulfill our sense of justice and, to a lesser extent, to end the myth of his invincibility. But dropping Bin Laden's corpse in the sea does not end the terrorist threat, nor does it remove the ideological motivation of Al Qaeda's supporters.
Often forgotten amid the ugly violence of Al Qaeda's attacks was that the terrorists' declared goal was to replace existing governments in the Muslim world with religiously pure Islamist states and eventually restore an Islamic caliphate. High on Al Qaeda's list of targets was Egypt's president, Hosni Mubarak. The protesters of Tahrir Square succeeded in removing him without terrorism and without Al Qaeda.
Thus, even before Bin Laden's death, analysts had begun to argue that Al Qaeda was rapidly becoming irrelevant. With Bin Laden's death, it is even more tempting to think that the era of Al Qaeda is over.
But such rejoicing would be premature. To many Islamist ideologues, the Arab Spring simply represents the removal of obstacles that stood in the way of establishing the caliphate. Their goal has not changed, nor has their willingness to use terrorism.
In the months ahead, Bin Laden's death may encourage Al Qaeda to stage an attack to counter the impression that it is out of business. The more significant threat, however, will come from Al Qaeda's local affiliates. (Data Modelling) (40 marks)
A local pharmacy store in Wollongong wants to develop an online system to track their product inventory as well as prescription records of their products for regulatory requirements. As part of systems development, a data model is required to determine data entities and associated attributes and business rules. You are required to develop a data model which will allow the information and activities to be recorded.
The most important data entity for the system is the ITEM entity - this entity represents all the products in the pharmacy. Item code, shelf, location and quantity are the attributes for ITEM entity. Every time an item is ordered, some of the order details such as order date, order quantity and special instructions to the patient for each item in every order are stored. Patient information includes an id, patient name, date of birth, contact number and next of kin details. Each patient may have multiple orders of several items. While most orders are from patients this is not always the case. An order can be created without necessarily being associated with a patient, e.g. order from a casual customer buying items.
An item can be of two types: medical or non-medical. Understandably more than 95% of items in the pharmacy are medical items. For non-medical items, promotion period is an additional attribute to store since the pharmacy only sells non-medical items during promotions. Medical items are further classified into three types: doctor-prescription items, over-the-counter prescription items, and no-prescription items. Prescription records are required to be stored in the system. One doctor can prescribe multiple doctor-prescription items and vice versa. We store the prescription date and special instructions by the doctor prescribing a particular item. It is also important to store the doctor's name, specialty and registration number from the Medical Board of Australia.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.
