Motivation: HR in an organization faces various challenges in business environment, such as Building Capabilities, Improving Productivity, Building Performance Culture, Talent Management, Succession Planning for Key Leadership and Critical Roles, Developing Accountability and Ownership, Human Capital Management and transforming HR function into developmental Role from the legacy driven HR, etc. Succession Planning is the process of identifying and developing individuals, who have potential to hold the key leadership position in an Organization, whereas Performance Management includes assessing and improving upon the performance of an employee to meet the organizational goals. There are several Management Practices, which are adopted widely in Industry to make a successful Succession Planning. Workforce and Talent Management is one of them. The health of an organization majorly depends on the proper placement of people, which is a combined outcome of Talent Identification, Talent Development and Talent Retention. Performance Management plays a vital role in Talent Identification. It also has an impact on Talent Development and Talent Retention. The key idea of succession planning suggests that the right person to be placed at the right position at the right time. Succession planning is becoming a challenge these days in the corporate world. Organizations are often not found prepared with their successors to occupy the key positions as and when required. The positions are either kept vacant for a substantial period or more than one role is assigned to a single person. Identifying the right talent for the key positions from outside the organization and recruiting them is a much more difficult task at the eleventh hour. This has a significant impact on organizational health and in turn to organizational sustainability. Organizations must last longer than people. Brief Overview of the Case Scenario
The Human Resource Director t the Wynn Regional Medical Center (WRMC) resigned recently. The resource department notified the hospital. Surprisingly, it was not long before the previous Human resource director also left. The vacancies affected the HR department greatly as some pending policies and strategies were still to be implementing. The hospital will most likely experience a crisis as some positions are still vacant for months as the leadership skills and knowledge required are lacking. Using a descriptive strategy to help in the recruitment, training, and succession plan would help solve the human resources problem and staff shortage.
Recruitment
Hiring a new HR director would be the first step to undertake. A qualified HR director would resolve the issue that is affecting the human resource department. The recruitment phase involves three phases. First, the preparation consists of setting up the required skills before posting it as a vacant position. Next is a shortlist of applicants to look at during the selection process, and lastly, choosing the right candidate. For starters, the HR directors should have a certified bachelor's degree in human resource management. They can encourage health researchers, managers, policymakers, and other institutions' experience to complement the qualification.
Qualifications
· As for the skills, they should have good communication skills, organization skills, budgeting, decision-making, development, and training skills. They should be able to sit for a prolonged time at the desk and work on the computer Study the relationship between HRM practices, policies, and systems and staff performance. The candidates should clearly state these requirements in their cover letter Must be able to adapt to the organization's needs. Brief Overview of the Case Scenario
The Human Resource Director t the Wynn Regional Medical Center (WRMC) resigned recently. The resource department notified the hospital. Surprisingly, it was not long before the previous Human resource director also left. The vacancies affected the HR department greatly as some pending policies and strategies were still to be implementing. The hospital will most likely experience a crisis as some positions are still vacant for months as the leadership skills and knowledge required are lacking. Using a descriptive strategy to help in the recruitment, training, and succession plan would help solve the human resources problem and staff shortage.
Recruitment
Hiring a new HR director would be the first step to undertake. A qualified HR director would resolve the issue that is affecting the human resource department. The recruitment phase involves three phases. First, the preparation consists of setting up the required skills before posting it as a vacant position. Next is a shortlist of applicants to look at during the selection process, and lastly, choosing the right candidate. For starters, the HR directors should have a certified bachelor's degree in human resource management. They can encourage health researchers, managers, policymakers, and other institutions' experience to complement the qualification.
Qualifications
· As for the skills, they should have good communication skills, organization skills, budgeting, decision-making, development, and training skills. They should be able to sit for a prolonged time at the desk and work on the computer Study the relationship between HRM practices, policies, and systems and staff performance. exercise is for you to conduct inductive and deductive research using qualitative methods.

The purpose of this exercise if for you to observe one

to begin to detect patterns in human behavior – observance of norms and potentially behaviors that deviate from the norm. This week’s exercise includes two parts.

place (or conduct content analysis with your social artifact) and observe the people/artifact for

2. the people around you, not only their behavior but general information about their sociodemographic characteristics (age, race/ethnicity, gender, SES, etc);
3. your thoughts and feelings while making observations

Blumberg’s Nursing Home (BNH) is a 100-bed Medicare and Medicaid certified facility in suburban Philadelphia, PA. The administrator recently terminated the facility’s Director of Nursing (DON), receptionist, and dietary aid for inappropriate conduct. They had all been involved in purchasing and using illegal substances on facility grounds. Facility staff, as well as many of the more lucid residents, have found out about the incident.
The charge nurse has been appointed interim DON. The human resource manager has sent a memo to all staff informing them of a mandatory staff meeting to discuss BNH’s code of ethics and to provide additional training on workplace culture. Because federal law requires that there be at least one (1) registered nurse on duty for a minimum of eight (8) hours a day, seven (7) days a week, and that the DON must be a registered nurse (RN) – which the interim DON is not – BNH is out of compliance.
Write a four to six (4-6) page paper in which you:
Assess the immediate staffing needs at BNH. Prioritize the order in which BNH should fill the main unstaffed position(s). Justify your selection(s).
Considering the reason behind the termination of the employees, formulate a human resources policy that addresses inappropriate conduct in the workplace, the process of reporting inappropriate conduct, and the consequences of violating the policy. Explain your rationale.
Per the text, an effective long-term care facility administrator must have both leadership and management skills. Propose at least one (1) way the administrator in this case must demonstrate quality leadership skills, and one (1) way the administrator must demonstrate quality management skills in the aftermath of this crisis so as to improve and maintain staff and resident morale.
Recommend a strategy for BNH to use the Quality Indicator Survey to improve administrative practices and ensure future compliance at the facility. Justify your recommendation.

In dividing power between states and the national government, federalism has undergone challenges to the placement of power. Should power reside primarily in national or in state government? Dear Dr. Kornbluth and Mr. Gorenberg,
The US House of Representatives is deeply concerned by ongoing and pervasive acts of antisemitic
harassment and intimidation at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Failing to act decisively to ensure a safe learning environment for all students would be a grave dereliction of your responsibilities as President of MIT and Chair of the MIT Corporation.
This Congress will not stand idly by and allow an environment hostile to Jewish students to persist. The House believes that your institution is in violation of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, and the inability or
unwillingness to rectify this violation through action requires accountability.
Postsecondary education is a unique opportunity for students to learn and have their ideas and beliefs challenged. However, universities receiving hundreds of millions of federal funds annually have denied
students that opportunity and have been hijacked to become venues for the promotion of terrorism, antisemitic harassment and intimidation, unlawful encampments, and in some cases, assaults and riots.
The House of Representatives will not countenance the use of federal funds to indoctrinate students into hateful, antisemitic, anti-American supporters of terrorism. Investigations into campus antisemitism by the Committee on Education and the Workforce and the Committee on Ways and Means have been expanded into a Congress-wide probe across all relevant jurisdictions to address this national crisis. The undersigned Committees will conduct oversight into the use of federal funds at MIT and its learning environment under authorities granted to each Committee.
• The Committee on Education and the Workforce has been investigating your institution since December 7, 2023. The Committee has broad jurisdiction over postsecondary education, including its compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, campus safety concerns over disruptions to the learning environment, and the awarding of federal student aid under the Higher Education Act.
• The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is investigating the sources of funding and other support flowing to groups espousing pro-Hamas propaganda and engaged in antisemitic harassment and intimidation of students. The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is the principal oversight committee of the US House of Representatives and has broad authority to investigate “any matter” at “any time” under House Rule X.
• The Committee on Ways and Means has been investigating several universities since November 15, 2023, when the Committee held a hearing entitled From Ivory Towers to Dark Corners: Investigating the Nexus Between Antisemitism, Tax-Exempt Universities, and Terror Financing.
