Assignment #2
ASSIGNMENT FORMAT
In our world of theatre, we are encouraged to think “Outside the Box”. To appreciate the
outside of the box we must first learn the inside of the box. Presentations of a large
number of the assignments for this class are in the “Assignment Format”. As we present
our work in theatre there are always specific given parameters. The Assignment Format
represents the parameters we are given for this class.
The goal of this assignment is to learn how to produce the “Assignment Format” on
which most assignments will be presented.
Here are some specific criteria for the project or “objectives that need to be met.”
1. Render the project on a 9” x 10” kyd finish Bristol board.
2. The border or margin outline should form a square, and be drawn in fine tip
Sharpie, following instructions on the Assignment Format sheet. (You need
not erase the pencil used for layout.)
3. Use the lettering and spacing requirements as indicated on the Assignment
Format sheet
• Your name should be on the right side along between the layout lines.
Use your first Initial and last name.
• The title can be left blank for use on the next project
• The lettering should be written in extra fine Sharpie.
4. Asking for opinions and advice to solve a problem is very acceptable, in fact it
is encouraged. Having someone do your project is fraud just like plagiarism.
