1. What is imagination’s role in your problem solving? How does it relate to your desires? How about how you manage
people?
Are you only using your brain? How about your soul? According to Aristotle, "The soul never thinks without a mental
image.”
Imagine (v) – to form a mental image of something not actually present
to the senses.
Imagination (n) - 1) The faculty of forming mental images or concepts of what is not actually present to the senses.
2) Ability to face and resolve difficulties; resourcefulness.
3) The power of reproducing images stored in the memory under the suggestion of associated images (reproductive
imagination)
4) The power of recombining former experiences in the creation of new images directed at a specific goal or aiding in the
solution of problems (creative imagination)
Imaging (v) – A technique in which one uses mental images to control
bodily processes and thus ease pain or succeed in some
endeavor that one has visualized in advance.
Every idea is born in the imagination.
You’re contemplating a change of some sort. What is it? What mental image – what phantasma - do you see when you
look into the future where the solution exists? If you can’t see a mental image, complete with color, dimension, possibly
sound and specific characteristics of the solution as it could possibly be, you’re not fully tapped into your imagination.
" You can fill a man with knowledge and all you will have is a man filled with knowledge, but spark his imagination and he
can conquer the universe." Albert Einstein
