Strategic Analysis is the key element of strategic studies, under
which, in addition to the analysis of the strategic environment,
strategic theories, methods of strategy, strategic concepts and
activities and their impacts on bilateral and international relations
are examined.
Furthermore, the phenomenon of war, its causes, the factors involved and help to
prevent or end the conflict, and peace enforcement are analyzed and researched.
The impact of science, technology, economics, armaments, diplomacy, history and
law is also examined.

2. The high level scientific personnel of ASA, with deep and proven experience,
backed by a variety of academic titles, covers a wide range of disciplines of
strategic studies, international relations, diplomacy, geopolitics, and the
fields of humanities, economics, medicine and technology - from mecha-
nical and telecommunications to energy, shipping, aerospace, information
technology and cyberwar.
The Academy for Strategic Analyses (ASA) is an independent and autono-
mous in its operation and funding, non-profit scientific and research institu-
tion - a “think-tank” - based in Athens.
It was founded in 2014, by scientists from the Hellenic Armed Forces and
Hellenic Security Corps, who have high level qualifications, rich scientific,
research and written work and collaboration with Hellenic and foreign uni-
versities, research centres and institutes, in various scientific fields.
Moreover distinguished personalities from military, diplomatic and acade-
mic areas and other high-profile scientists, from Greece and abroad, became
members of the ASA.
 Development of scientific work and activities in the field of
Strategic Studies, Defense, Security and Foreign Policy,
 Elaboration of scientific analyses, research and studies,
 Provision of specialized advisory and educational services to
public bodies, private sector and to individuals in those articles, at
national, European and international levels,
 Public formulation of scientific positions and the promotion of the
public dialogue on the above objects.
The ASA will cooperate with international organizations, academic and scientific
institutions and other centers of scientific research with a related object, as well as
with authoritative scientists, militaries, diplomats, etc., especially in the Euro-Atlantic
and the wider Mediterranean environment.
ΑSΑ is governed by a 7-member Board of Directors which is elected
by the General Assembly of the Members.
All the relevant information about ASA, the publications, as well as
a form for membership application, is published in its website.
