As You Like It is a romantic comedy by William Shakespeare believed to have been written in 1599 or early 1600. The play follows Rosalind as she flees her uncle's court in exile into the Forest of Arden, accompanied by her cousin Celia. Disguising herself as a man, Rosalind encounters instances of love and mistaken identity typical of Shakespeare's comedies before the characters are reunited and paired off at the end.
