Shot Types and Angles

Close Up: Shows that the object is
important

Extreme Close Up: Shows that the object
in view is important, in some cases the
background may be out of focus.

Medium Shot: Can show up to mid-torso.
Shows some of the background.

Long Shot: Usually shows off full body
aswell as the setting.

High Angle: makes the person/object
appear weak and vulnerable.

Low Angle: Shows power and status to
the object/person in the shot.
Point of View: The shot is taken as if it
were somebody’s view.

Eye View: shown as if the picture is being
taken at eye level.
