which is mainly gold, which is very stereotypical
for the R n B and hip hop genre. Her pose is also
could be viewed as provocative, this interlinks
with the genre as the lyrics in songs from this
genre are usually sexual orientated and risqué.
George Ezra is a solo-male folk/blues/rock singer
song writer. The mise en scene of this picture
emphasises the genre as he is holding a guitar,
stereotypically folk singers play the guitar, as well
as well-known blues singers. His hair is also styled
very similar to that of Elvis Presley, who was well
known for his rock and roll and blues look. Also,
the black and white effect makes it more gentle on
the eye, which suggests that his music is quite
gentle and soft compared to that of other genres.

are very clean cut and groomed, which also suggests that

the other members are almost crowded around him. They all
look very happy and have smiles on their faces which
emphasises the pop boy band look as they have to appeal to
a wider audience. Also, the boy band look is highlighted as
none of the have instruments, which suggests they rely on
soundtracks.
The Black Veil Brides are a glam metal/ hard rock/ metal
core/ shock rock band. This is highly represented in the
mise en scene of this photograph as their costume is
mainly black with a little bit of white, which portrays their
darker side, also they have a lot of rips in their clothes
along with chains, gloves and bandanas which again
represent the genre as these are popular accessory
choices of artists of this genre. They are all giving direct
address and are pulling very stern, aggressive poses which
makes them seem a lot more aggressive, which again
interlinks with their music as it is very hard-core.
