ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE
INTRODUCTION
ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE(A.I) IS A BRANCH OF COMPUTER SCIENCE.
WHAT IS A.I?
It is the science and engineering of making Intelligent and Innovative machines.
A.I is the study and design of intelligent agents.
Some says that it is putting the human mind into computer.
To Respond to situations very flexibles.
To make sense out Ambiguous and Contradictory Messages.
WHY A.I?
A.I involves two Basic Ideas .
First, it involves studying the thought process of human beings.
Second, it deals with representing those processes via machines(like
-computers, robots etc.).
A. I METHODS
A. I methods can be divided into two broad categories:
SYMBOLIC A.I :: which focuses on the development of knowledge-based systems.
COMPUTATIONAL INTELLIGENCE :: which includes such methods as neural networks,
fuzzy systems, and evolutionary computing.
HISTORY OF A. I
.
Name is coined in 1957.
Several names that are proposed are:
Complex Information Processing
Heuristic programming
Machine Intelligence
Computational Rationally
The Golden Years 1956-1974
1986:: Rise of machine learning
Major advances in machine learning algorithms and applications
1995: Major use in science
In Vision, Language, Data Mining etc.
2006: Face recognition software available in
consumer cameras
2003-2007: ROBOT DRIVING
Man thought innovatively
And invented a car which
works with a robot
These Robots will drive
the cars without help a
man.
OOt
At First man invented a robot which
will do some small works.
Scientists are still inventing the robots
,
Which will have intelligence exactly like
a human brain.
Will computers or robots become truly
intelligent??
There is a little doubt among the community that artificial
machines will be capable of intelligent thoughts.
A.I has been applied in a wide range of fields to
perform specific tasks.
-Includinyg medical diagnosis , electronictrading
, robotcontrol , and remote sensing etc.
AI has been used to develop and
advance numerous fields and
industries, incluitrding fjjrtg
mrtktjjeuytthealthcare,
education, transportation, and
more.fjjrtg
ADVANTAGES
Use robots for heavy Constructions , In Military ,for personal assistance .
Many of our health problems have possible solutions with the use of
artificial intelligence.
Our way of living will be improved.
NO BREAKS:
Machines , Unlike humans do not require frequent breaks and refreshments.
They are programmed for long hours and can continuously perform .
DISADVANTAGES
High cost Ki No Replicating Humans
Un-Employment
No Improvement With Experiencery
No Original Creativity
-Intelligence is believed to be a gift of
nature.
-Machines do not have any emotions
and moral values.
CONCLUSION
A.I and robotics will not only improve the way we think or live our
lives, but also explores new horizons, whether the space or the ocean.
As the age old saying goes, the need is the mother of all innovations.
It is with A.I also.Humans are getting increasingly better
in defining their wants and quickly transforming this want into
reality.
Things will happen so fast that we will not notice the minor
changes and will be easily adaptable to the change it brings
to us.
