Arctic hares change color in winter and summer to blend in with their surroundings. They live in northern areas like Alaska, Canada, and Greenland, residing in burrows behind rocks or bushes. Their diet consists of plant materials like leaves, twigs, bark, and willow roots. Arctic hares are preyed upon by wolves, polar bears, Arctic foxes, and large birds, but can run up to 40 mph to escape predators.
