6. Consistently delivering products of the highest standard requires
an investment in time, training, systems, processes and people.
To ensure that Aquacrete products meet the company’s stringent
quality and engineering specifications, Aquacrete operates an
integrated batch control system. During production, batches are
sampled on an hourly basis and stored at an on-site laboratory. A
comprehensive batch numbering system is linked to the
sampling system and provides a tracking and production
reference.
The final stage of Aquacrete’s quality management system
involves laboratory testing to ensure our products comply with
industry performance standards as well as the standards that
Aquacrete has set for our products.
All of the quality checks, lab testing and product evaluations are
performed to ensure our products meet the needs of our clients.
Quality Management
7. Aquacrete’s structural design system is used to determine the design and
installation specifications of Aquacrete structural devices.
The system predicts the performance of a structural device based on the
dimensions and geotechnical conditions of the specific mine site. This in
turn is used to provide engineering specifications regarding product
selection, product thickness and required strength for each installation site.
If an installation conforms to the specifications, independent engineering
certification can be obtained to confirm compliance.

unstable strata and geotechnical conditions, Flexi-Liner™ maintains a high
flexural strength and effectively manages the effects of spalling, scaling
and weathering on the strata. In combination with Wet-Repel™ or OPR2™,
Flexi-Liner™ provides a supporting membrane to address convergence,
floor heave and strata movement.
Product – Flexi-Liner™
11. Aquacrete Flexi-Crete™ is a single component shotblast product that achieves
high flexural strength while retaining the significant benefits of a rapid setting,
rated water, gas, explosion and heat barrier.
Flexi-Crete™ has been designed to address applications where unstable strata or movement require a
combination of flexibility and compressive strength to achieve long-term structural integrity. With
improved water resistant properties from the recognised Wet-Repel™ product along with the benefit of
significant flex it is the new innovation that Aquacrete are proud to release.
Flexi-Crete™ can be applied to any desired thickness without the need to reinforce the surface with
steel mesh or other materials prior to application. As with all Aquacrete products, ease of application is
a significant benefit of Flexi-Crete™.
Product – Flexi-Crete™
12. Hessian Shapeable Mine Bricks (HSMB) provide a time-efficient and
cost-effective solution for vent wall and regulator construction. With
Hessian Shapeable Mine Bricks, there is minimal site preparation and
the mine bricks have excellent strength properties. Aside from
applications in underground mines, HSMB are widely used in civil

14. Mine Mesh
Aquacrete Mine Mesh is manufactured from 4mm wire and
Is hot dip galvanized. Made up of 160mm squares, mine mesh sheets provide
the ideal backing surface for the application of Aquacrete shotblast solutions. Sized to
suit a range of roadway dimensions, mine mesh is also suitable for a range of rib
support and strata control applications.
PRODUCT FEATURES AND BENEFITS
• Smaller wire configuration provides ideal shotblast surface for Aquacrete
solutions.
• Hot dip galvanized for life of mine applications.
• Convenient sheet sizing 2800mm x 1125mm suitable for multiple
applications.
15. Aquacrete’s in-situ testing technology – known as the Aquacrete Thickness
Gauge – allows underground operators to non-destructively verify the
thickness, and where necessary the overpressure rating compliance of structural
devices.
While sample coring and analysis of installed seals has provided assurance to
mines, it is difficult, time-consuming and costly to carry out physical sampling
and testing of every installed device. As a result, Aquacrete has developed a
method for in-situ, non-destructive testing that addresses these issues.
Although a new approach to testing underground structural devices, the
method employs recognised testing equipment in a new application.
