Garbage production deeply harms the environment, with human activities generating most of the daily mountain of discarded materials. While it is impossible to stop producing garbage, individuals can reduce waste by consuming less, reusing materials whenever possible, and properly separating recyclable items for collection programs. Adopting the concepts of reduction, reuse, and recycling in daily living, production and consumption can benefit the environment, as natural resources can be recovered from garbage through recycling rather than being lost in landfills.
