Chil is a knowledge portal and professional network specialized in the agro-industrial sector that aims to provide European agriculture with tools to increase competitiveness, communication, and sharing of knowledge. It offers services like document publishing, videos, photos, wikis, blogs, forums, and live streaming of events. As an open platform, individuals can register for free without authorization. Knowledge and information is shared between companies, cooperatives, research centers, associations, consumers, and administration to disseminate information on products, offers, regulations, and more. The goal is to strengthen values of European agriculture like highlighting social impact, enforcing cooperation, and coordinating policies across boundaries.

What is Chil?
Chil is a knowledge portal specialized in the agro industrial sector, with the aim
to provide to the European agriculture sector with a Web tool designed to fits its
particular needs and help it to use the Internet to increase its competitiveness,
communication, integration and diffusion of goods.
A professional network and hosting for companies, cooperatives, research centers,
groups, etc.
Knowledge management tools: document publishing, videos, photos, wikis, blogs,
forums, etc.
Services oriented to the sector: live stream of events, training, job offers, ecommerce,
etc.
The Red-Itaa project is financed by the Interreg IV-B SUDOE
program and intends to extend the use and exploitation of the
platform chil.org to Portugal, Spain and South of France.

license to be a Chil user. Just enter and interact. No cost for companies. All

Enforcing European values
The design of Chil has been thought to highlight and enforce the values of the
European agro industrial sector compared with other geographical areas.
Structuring the agro industrial sector: tool to visualize actors, groups and associations, increasing
the sense of sector over boundaries and giving projection to individuals and groups work.
Personality vs. anonymity/ Value chains vs. commodities: companies can show their own visual
identity, explain where are they located, their personality, etc.

Highlighting the social impact of European agriculture: relating companies, goods, associations and
persons with geographical places and environments, together with complementary actions as rural

Enforcing agriculture cooperation at European level: Automatic language translations and a complex
tag system allows European agro agents to communicate, coordinate, look for partners and work
together in common projects.
